Di rientro da un bellissimo viaggio GVF in Botswana con alcuni amici del forum, posto la mia prima foto del photo tour. Stavamo andando in zona "leopardi", eravamo partiti da pochi minuti quando, in una strada secondaria, alla base di una parete rocciosa, vediamo in lontananza una leonessa solitaria. Ci avviciniamo senza troppa enfasi quando vedo sotto di lei un piccolo peluche... :) Il cucciolo aveva circa un mese ed appostati a debita distanza, iniziamo a scattare. Poi ecco che fa capolino anche un secondo cucciolo che assonnato e poco interessato alla nostra presenza si butta giù a dormire nuovamente. Purtroppo la nostra seconda auto non ci riceve...la radio ha dei problemi e ci avviamo per avvicinarci a loro ed avvertirli dell'avvistamento. Superata la mamma ci accorgiamo di un terzo cucciolo, nascosto sotto la pancia ed attaccato all'altro fratellino, che se la dorme beato. Non c'è tempo, corriamo a chiamare gli altri e poi torniamo. Purtroppo altre auto hanno spaventato la famiglia e la mamma, premurosa, ha portato al sicuro sulle rocce i 3 piccoli. Attendiamo fiduciosi ed alla fine l'attesa, ripaga. Due escono allo scoperto, scendendo dalla "rupe" ma la leonessa non li fa stare neppure un minuto. Ne prende subito uno in bocca e lo riporta alla tana. Questa è l'ultima immagine che ho del piccoletto con la madre. Gli altri due cuccioli erano ancora ciechi da un occhio, eran veramente piccoli...poche settimane. Purtroppo, l'indomani abbiamo saputo che uno sciame di api/vespe ha attaccato la famiglia ed ucciso un piccoletto. Li abbiamo ritrovati, assieme al branco (17 esemplari), il giorno successivo ed i piccoli erano solamente due.... Tristezza infinita ma questa è l'Africa. Un saluto a tutti. Ale
