Hello Bedwardk, consider that with the pursuit, being able to lengthen the time of pose to taste and mediating several shots, you can collect all the necessary signal even with a "small" M43. In This case we talk about a modified camera with Baader filter, which is also advantaged on the sensitivity to light H-alpha of a factor 3 compared to the normal version (for other manufacturers would even be a factor 4, the original Olympus filters are more Transparent to the H-alpha of the Canon or Nikon counterparts), so I could exhibit up to get an image with the desired level of cleanliness :-)
Greetings and thanks for the ride!

Thanks very much for that info! I have felt like my m43 cameras were better at astrophotography than their small sensors would indicate. Your results almost make me want to buy an E-PM2 and have the sensor modified as you have. You said you modified yourself but I don't have the skill for the task. I would send to a professional.

Thanks,

Brian

Amazing photo. I would be curious to understand how such a photograph is taken. Looking, I think it's three shots taken at different times? Or are three photos taken at different times and places?
Ncore congratulations

@Cuki: The view is taken at the blue hour, the Milky Way in the middle of the night with tracking and modified camera. To see it again today cmq I would change the balance of white. Hello!
@Carlmon: thank you very much :-)

@Aleziggio
I was imagining there was something special. To join the shots you discounted the mountains and superimposed everything on the Milky Way? or what you see is the real position of the stars?
