Lo “Spirito del Natale Passato” è il primo dei tre fantasmi che appaiono a Scrooge nel racconto di Dickens “A Christmas Carol” e che, appunto, lo riporta ai Natali della sua lontana gioventù. La scatola Motta è stata “viaggiata” negli anni '30/'40 (la sede della ditta in via Carlo Alberto 32 indicata in indirizzo fu aperta nel 1925). A quell'epoca il panettone era ancora un lusso e solo le famiglie più facoltose potevano farselo spedire in occasione delle feste di fine anno. La scatola metallica degli anni '50/'60 è dello scatolificio Pagani di Lecco, non più esistente.
