, 1/4000 f/8.0, ISO 640, hand held.

Thanks for the step giammarcoa :-)
The beauty of these places is that you can meet animals in their natural environment completely careless of the presence of man.
This exemplary in the full force of his Manly exuberance was intent on dominating a small group of six or seven that have passed quickly next without leaving me time to do many other shots.
The trip was very nice and if we exclude the cost of airline tickets, which I am here in Senegal I do not have to compute, is also a very cheap trip about 200 euros overnight and meals included for 4 days. Of course the accommodations we had ranged from the masonry building with adjoining restaurant with pool, to the tent with outdoor bathroom without cover and no electricity, sometimes a bit of an almost spartan adventure but it was worth it:)

You have perfectly frozen the subject detached from the ground and this accentuates the dynamism of the action. Good background and super sharpness. I like it.
Bye Josh ;-)

B Gios in this shot I would have to use a more open aperture, to improve the background and isolation of the subject from it.
The problem was that I did not expect to shoot at that time, I had the camera set with relatively high ISO that I could safely halve if not even go down to 200 to open the aperture at full aperture of 500, but as you I said it was a meeting I didn't expect.
All in all the shot I do not mind because it emphasizes the beautiful livery of the subject :-)
Thank you for visiting and for your welcome appreciation.
A greeting
Baldassarre

The opportunities were few and I do not doubt it, despite you brought home with a great choice of time and compo a beautiful frame set of the specimen in full dynamic activity and with beautiful definition and colors despite the free hand baldassarre :-); Great.
A greeting, Claudio :-P

B Nightflier Thanks :-) The group that preceded me arrived very fast from the shoulders, to the point that I was unable to make any useful shot, this young specimen larger than the others also followed him fast at a short distance such that he left me the time to do some Click on the Fly.
Carlo Marchese Thanks for the appreciation, I keep it as a souvenir photo of the moment just for the sudden capture.
A greeting to all
Baldassarre

B Rinaldo1005 :-) Thanks for the ride, he was running, if I remember correctly every time he touched the ground, he jumped 3-4 meters. I took it because I anticipated where it would be in the air :-D
