La fotografia naturalistica ha una miriade di sfaccettature, anzi, direi che ciascun fotografo la interpreta a modo suo: c'è chi è contento a fotografare nelle oasi, chi preferisce costruirsi da sè il capanno e andare alla ricerca di soggetti, chi preferisce evitare i capanni e fare 'caccia fotografica' vagante...
Io ad esempio ho iniziato fotografando sempre in oasi, poi mi sono un pò stancato della 'vita da capanno' e ora preferisco fare fotografia di animali principalmente all'estero, in ambienti più 'wild', mentre in Italia mi dedico a paesaggi e macro. Non per questo sputo su chi fotografa in capanno, o su chi fotografa in un modo che non rispecchi al 100% i miei gusti personali, figuriamoci poi sparare sentenze sulla 'morte della fotografia naturalistica', solo perchè "non si fa come dico io..."
A completare l'opera ci sono le ridicole polemiche sugli EP: l'EP è solo la preferenza di una singola persona, è naturale che non sempre rispecchi i propri gusti, da qui a strapparsi i capelli e far polemiche... ma purtroppo la gente si diverte a rompere le scatole:
- quando viene premiata una foto perfetta tecnicamente, ci si lamenta che viene data troppa importanza alla tecnica
- quando viene premiata una foto che ritrae una situazione interessante, anche se ha qualche limite tecnico, ci si lamenta che non è stata data abbastanza importanza alla tecnica
- quando mancano altri argomenti, si tira fuori qualche storia del tipo 'capanni a pagamento' per cercare di svilire il lavoro altrui...
- ...e infine ho visto anche le lamentele sul fatto che il soggetto è troppo comune, sulle foto scattate all'estero, o addirittura una volta sul fatto che l'autore era straniero e secondo alcuni questo portava a favoritismi da parte mia.
