@Stefano: Roosevelt Island è una stretta e lunga isoletta sull'East River, attraversata dal Queensboro Bridge. E' una meta poco battuta che ho scoperto proprio su questo forum leggendo i vari commenti su NY (in particolare quelli di Thomas Farina che ringrazio!! ). Dalla punta meridionale si dovrebbe godere una visione indisturbata di tutto il lato est di Manhattan; dico "dovrebbe" perché, purtroppo, alla sera diventa inaccessibile (cancello sbarrato nonostante varie "suppliche"...  ). Se mantengono gli stessi orari di chiusura, con l'accorciarsi delle giornate potrebbe essere un buon punto di vista "alternativo" per lo skyline di Manhattan.
@Caterina: grazie innanzitutto per il commento approfondito! Come giustamente hai osservato, ho dovuto scattare da un punto non favorevole, ostacolato anche da una ringhiera  . Ho tenuto la macchina in bolla e, memore dei tuoi suggerimenti, sono stato largo con l'inquadratura per consentire in fase di sviluppo la correzione della distorsione prospettica... Detto ciò, devo anche riconoscere che - a parte la "fortuna" delle condizioni di luce - questo come molti altri miei scatti sono il frutto della frequentazione (osservazione di foto, lettura di discussioni) del forum e dei suggerimenti ricevuti. Credo che questo sia lo "spirito" corretto del forum e mi auguro non vada perso a causa di inutili diatribe per interessi di visibilità personale o derive "social"...

Hello, Stephen Massimo, ho conosciuto anche io Roosevelt Island proprio grazie ad alcuni scatti e commenti inseriti su questo magnifico forum (quando hai tempo dai un'occhiata agli scatti dell'utente Fedebobo, bellissimi!!!). Pensa che durante la mia visita a NYC, dalla finestra della camera dell'albergo vedevo proprio il Queensboro Bridge (con relativa funicolare). Infatti se vai a vedere nella mia galleria New York 2015 - 1, c'è proprio una foto del ponte fatta dalla finestra, quando, per via della la nebbia, le cime dei grattacieli si nascondevano tra le nubi. Anche per me i magnifici scatti di Thomas sono stati di grande ispirazione, soprattutto quello fatto dal Brooklyn Bridge Park che poi è diventato Editor's Pick...
