Subjects :The beach is quite long and Phalasarna all wonderful to photograph. Overcoming the creeks appear always new views thanks to the rocks on the sea jagged. The real specialty of Phalasarna are the sunsets over the sea often d 'summer windy and the sea is a bit' rough: the waves crashing on the rocks at sunset are truly impressive. Also, the hilly landscape just beyond the beaches deserves some shots, especially the 'last stretch of road that leads down to the beach is sometimes interesting to photograph.
Recommended equipment :A Phalasarna becomes especially landscape photography and are famous especially the sunsets over the sea of ??this location. Required Tripod and strongly recommended the wide-angle, even a little 'pushed. In my opinion it would be a perfect 10-20. When I went there, I had only the 18-55 kit, but it was not bad!
Best months :The best times should be in May and September, mainly to avoid the heat and 'crowded tourist. I was there in July, and in any case the wind made the heat sopportabilissimo, moreover the beach is out of reach, and especially in the evening is clear of tourists or herds intrusive.
How to get there :Almost mandatory to get in the car. There are plenty of rentals throughout Crete, at prices competitive enough (sometimes you can even try to treat). C 'is a bus service that offers daily trips (arrival around 11:00, departure towards 18.30), but you lose the best moments of the day (sunrise and sunset above).
Visits :Free admission on the entire beach
Notes :If you want to stay overnight in Phalasarna in high season, you may need to book a minimum of notice, because until the 'Last summer, the facilities were quite a few.
