Subjects : You can see black bears, and I mean, they are really there. There are 65 species of mammals in the park. (white-tailed deer, groundhog, chipmunk, ...). The smoke surrounding the mountains can make some great shots too.

Recommended equipment : You need a car, because it's a big place. Animals are big out there, so you can get great shots with a 300mm.

Best months : As long as the weather is not too cold for bears, it must be nice.

How to get there : You have to enter on the Gatlinburg side and go to the amazing Cades Cove area. You can drive the road in cade cove in circle until you see the bears. Try it early in the morning or in the evening.

Visits : this park is free, you can make a donation at the visitor center.

Notes : Go early at the park entry. The traffic jam is hard to believe.
