Apple has announced a new notebook with 2880x1800px screen! This is 5 megapixels, more than twice the HD screens of other high end notebooks. Other than that, it has the latest 2.7 Ghz quad-core i7 processor, up to 16 GB of RAM and 768 GB of SSD. It is only 18mm thin and it weight 2 kg.

Fascinating! Do you think this will make a huge difference in photography, since we can zoom to 1:1 pixels anyways? It's so clearly targeted towards photographers and cinematographers with the clear use of Aperture and Final Cut Pro in the advertising videos.

I don't know, I have to see it in person :-)

I am sure that its screen is a joy for the eyes, but for photographers it needs also to be accurate and wide gamut...we will see :-)
