Pros: All

Cons: The focal point is a bit shrivelled but forced by the wide brightness

Opinion: I've been using it for 2 years and it's now irreplaceable. There is nothing that comes close to him on Mirrorless APS-C /H and M4/3. If you are lucky and can mount it on your room, even through adapters, do not hesitate to buy it. Any restrictions will be largely repaid. At the focal you get used to, certainly a 16-50mm f2 would be preferable :-) It should be updated to make it tropicalized but now the optics for APS-C I think are in decline. Keep in mind in reviews where the lens is used. Mine on Sigma SDQ and H and soon on Fuji XH-1. The AF is pretty good but it depends on the body where it is used. The SDQ is slow of its own, judging the AF of 18-35mm would be ridiculous. It satisfies me. I vote 9.8 for the blurry that is sometimes a little too nervous, otherwise it would be from 10 and praise.

Pros: Sharpness. Speed. Construction

Cons: You need to fix it with the USB Dock. maybe the weight.

Opinion: great goal. once settled it's a blade. I used it on the D7200, I was very happy, holding it in my hand ... a feeling of robustness and solidity with few equals. little vignette. at 18mm and TA is very sharp.great lens, confirming that the Art line is really well thought out. architecture and street.

Pros: Brightness, AF speed and precise.... also on 80D

Cons: I don't know

Opinion: I keep reading these negativities about the pairing with 80 D I bought it recently.... Used.... I tried it in the store on my 80 D, I would have taken it anyway, since I also have a 7D m2, but on 80D I did not have to make any adjustment It is perfect in any situation I do not know...... After everything I read I expected to have to do at least the micro adjustment AF And instead I tried it on the tripiede and with poor light ...... the af doesn't miss a beat

Pros: Sharpness, quality of materials, precise and quiet AF (but not enough for videos)

Cons: Untropicized, sometimes the AF misses the target, it is addictive

Opinion: Great goal, nice and robust. Excellent build quality. 9/10 accurate AF, sometimes fails, but I think it's the low performance of my now old Nikon D3100. Images of grade quality and absurd sharpness. I do not see any particular defects, for those who take pictures with snow or rain is not tropicalized... it is really worth the purchase, a lens that I always carry with me and is very versatile for its focal and fixed opening at 1.8, as having 3 fixed in one!

Pros: Clarity and build quality! Silent and precise autofocus.

Cons: Sincerely I do not find particular negative elements, the weight is there but on the right body machine is not very penalizing! Not tropicalized.

Opinion: I mount it on my D500, for me a great pairing! The sharpness is really a lot and that's exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately it is not tropicalized! The build quality is tangible! I didn't detect any F/B focus issues. The opening at f 1.8 is a big plus. Great for so many situations from street to portrait!!

Pros: F 1.8, sharpness at the top, finishes is really nice. Three fixed in one.

Cons: Maybe the weight but you get used to it is not weather sealed

Opinion: I own it recently and it struck me positively. Maybe I found the lucky specimen but on 80d I did not have any problem AF indeed it works great even at F 1.8, in the past I owned the Sigma Art 35mm and with it it was that there was some front back Focus problem and the AF sometimes did what it wanted. But with the Sigma 18-35 no problem. The Optical quality is really high already at full aperture. I Am very satisfied and I think I will stay for a long time on my 80d. Another good thing is that it does not extend when I use the zoom so, although not weather sealed, it should not suck up dust. Top Finishes really nice to see and feel from solid feeling. Certainly not stabilized but how much would it cost? And how much would it weigh? The weight You hear though if you buy it you know. Fully Satisfied!

Pros: Sharpness brightness and fine finishes also tried in really critical temperature conditions but perfect if you do not have a 80 D

Cons: AF Weight not compatible with Canon 80d that not having the phase matrix Mr. AF goes crazy

Opinion: Proven for over 8 months here I think 3 months passed in assistance Sigma sent back well 3 times then brought to calibrate the camera body but answer from Canon machine in perfect condition the result that in perfect live View does not mistake a shot with the optical viewfinder preference Setup Able to adjust the BEC or fron focus also with Doc station. I stayed in touch with the assistance for over 3 months always polite and helpful but the coupled in my case did not work. Even The technician told me that to calibrate the AF they use the live View cause that the 80 D has directly in the sensor certain pixels that tarano the focus of the image and no from the phase matrix. I made some beautiful shots and I regret it for the quality but after 10 days on vacation in Tuscany and a shoulder tired from the weight I sold it for a 17/40 F 4 L definitely lighter and more accurate but not the same Quality.

Pros: Brightness, sharpness, quality of materials.

Cons: AF, not stabilized, not weather sealed, (price.. But the quality you pay for).

Opinion: I have this lens for several months now and I waited to give an opinion with the arrival of my Neo purchase Canon EOS 80d because with the previous body (800d always Canon) I did not feel to give a reasoned opinion. All in all it is a beautiful optics, the aperture of the diaphragm to 1.8 is a gem not of little account... But the AF at full aperture... Help!! In Live View is accurate in almost perfect but in the optical viewfinder (? I'm a newcomer with the technicalities, I hope I'm not wrong terminology) is vomiting! I bought on Amazon the dock but it is practically Arabic for me and I should intercept breast able to make the appropriate adjustments to fix the problem.. In conclusion I vote 8.5, I am glad to have bought it and I hope in the future to solve the Neo Dell'af but I feel to advise against those who have little machine bodies.. The quality leap I've seen from 800d to 80d has been disarming.

Pros: Build quality, sharpness, brightness, color rendition

Cons: Lack stabilizer (but the focal lengths are rather reduced)

Opinion: I state that I am a newcomer and therefore I am not able to analyze this lens perfectly, but it is a few months that they are in possession and I must say that I am very satisfied. The images returned are beautiful, crisp and with really nice colors and "full". My specimen suffers in an obvious way of FB Focus but I have corrected easily in my Canon 80d. I had no problems, except the one described earlier, with AF which I found accurate and fast. The price is not high but in my opinion is correct for a view of this quality. I do not have a direct "qualitative" comparison between the Sigma and the competitors, but to have a lens of this level I believe that for example Canon requires you much more. I unfortunately have a little shaky hands and the lack of the stabilizer "disturbs" a little, but it is absolutely not a flaw especially the reduced focal views. I highly recommend it.

Pros: Brightness, distortions easily correctable with specific profile, general image quality, low cost

Cons: Weight, AF ridiculous

Opinion: It is a lens that you can simultaneously love and hate. In situations where you need versatility and speed is priceless, practically are three prime lenses in the same lens, 18, 24 and 35, all F1,8, a 1.8 vignette but to me personally this feature pleases, the sharpness is not lacking, although on dense sensors in my opinion is Better not climb too easily over F8, TA is a show. However in use with reflex is heavily penalized by the ridiculous AF. You cannot say that you suffer from front or back focus, because it simply does what it wants, it can center the perfect fire for three shots and err of two meters in the fourth. Used in live view the problem naturally disappears, so if you want to use it this way or on an ML it is a perfect lens.

Pros: Focal excursion, sharpness, constant aperture, sharp already at TA

Cons: Weight, lack of stabilization,

Opinion: In my opinion one of the best lenses for APSC, the Sigma Art will confirm superior in sharpness to the other lenses, even at full aperture, one of the few zooms with constant aperture on all focal... Very modest aberrations, discrete resistance to flare, acceptable distortions even if they are showy especially at 18mm, autofocus quite fast... Pity you miss the stabilization that thanks to the 1.8 does not feel the slightest feeling with discreet light but if you miss it with artificial light maybe inside a room... Weighs enough but is justified by the high quality of lenses lacks tropicalization

Pros: Zoom with wide-angle focal lengths that in Sony APS-C are close to normal, brightness, aperture f / 1.8 constant. Amazing sharpness! Well built. Silent autofocus. Precision rings. Full time manual focus.

Cons: Weight, price. The rings are a bit '"slow", it could be limiting in some situations.

Opinion: Comperato used with very strong discount, on balance it was a bargain. Solid construction, with plastic and alloy parts. The rings are wide and are easy to hold. On the upper part there is the classic window with the focus distance. No depth-of-field scale (being a zoom). The rotation of the ferrules is a little slow and offers some resistance, this may be limiting in some cases, but since there is the autofocus why not use it? The ring nuts remain in place and do not have "play", allowing good precision and maintaining the set position. The rotation is fluid and "satisfies". It does not have the hard infinity stop focus. The lens comes with a petal hood and a case. The autofocus of my sample seems to work well, for now I have not encountered problems with focusing. AF is activated by moving the switch on the lens and on the machine. The fire can still be set manually as%3B the lens has the full time manual focus. The ultrasonic motor is silent. So far I have been able to use the lens only at night for an hour and showed a surprising clarity even at full aperture. For now I feel strongly recommended to those who use APS-C cameras

Pros: The only normal zoom f / 1.8 constant. Sharpness even at full openness. Very solid construction. Silent autofocus. Sharpness even at full openness. Compatibility with the AF tuning fine dock. Good consistency of image quality across the focal range. Value for money. Ah, I have already said sharpness even at the open?

Cons: Some specimens have heavily starved AF. Autofocus sometimes tries to acquire the lock. It may be inaccurate with the external AF points. Focal range may be limiting for some. Excellent construction but not tropicalized. You need to know how to manage the pdc af / 1.8

Opinion: I use this lens on Nikon D7200.rnIn the past I used FX (D700) with Nikkor f / 2.8 zoom and Sony APS-C with prime lenses, so I'm not an easy one to impress.rnrnBeh, after a couple of months of use I have to say, not without some pleasure, that I was impressed.rnrnThis lens is very clear. I do not know how much depends on the lens and how much from the absence of the AA filter on the sensor of the D7200, but the photos that come out of this coupled come to be SURGICAL as detailed. Even when fully open, the corners are softer and there is a fair vignetting, but the center is a razor, and does not lose contrast. If you try to make us portraits "head & shoulder", despite the focal lengths are not really suitable, it easily arrives to solve the pores of the skin and the superficial hair. Also at f / 1.8. Better from a distance than close up, on the close focus it loses a bit of sharpness (in the sense that from scimitar it becomes a razor to a barber). The contrast is good, suffers a little 'ghosting if there are strong hair dryerof light near the edges of the frame, but without exaggeration. I have not had significant experience in flare. The chromatic aberrations are there and they are visible, but I have seen worse from raw lenses of the same opening. As for the bokeh, I think I do not offend anyone if I say that normally you do not choose a lens in this range of focal length to take photos with the background out of focus, but with an aperture of f / 1.8 this lens is able to give a fair separation if there is a good distance between the subject and background, and the bokeh in these cases is quite pleasant, a little 'nervosetto but does not disturb that much.rnrnThe lens is big and heavy, but I think no one expects a lens with these specifications being particularly small or light, right? Let's say it's great and weighs * the right *. The focal range is clearly restricted, this can be a problem. Fortunately, 80% of the photos I make do already naturally in that range of focal lengths, so I never have ifntito confine.rnrnSuch as perfection does not exist, we come to the painful notes: the defects. Well, my model suffered from a "very light" front focus. Of the type that framing a subject three meters away, focava half a meter ahead. I had to enter a correction factor of +10 in the body to compensate. Now it's fine, but for those who think to use this lens on a body without the focus correction, it is better to plan to buy the USB dock. Autofocus itself is good, perhaps the most out of it in this lens. The engine is silent and is fast enough, but sometimes it tempts a bit about the acquisition. Type that catches the fire and then continues to do "tric-trac-tric-trac", micro-adjustments back and forth for a couple of seconds, before giving the lock. Nothing transcendental, but on a lens of this quality (and that does not cost two pounds) out of place. Another problem that I have encountered and that could be a source of anger, on the D7200 autofocus works well only ifyou select the most central maf points. Selecting the more external ones, the focus lens type a meter in front (in my case) to the subject, or unusable, and there is no fine tuning that takes. For me it is not a problem, I have always used the central point and recomposed, but for some it could be. I would have liked that they also put the seal to seal the mount, as on professional lenses, especially since the rest of the construction and the optical performance * are * professional lens.rnrnWhat to say, this lens somehow returns "dignity" to the APS-C format, giving us back that stop of pdc and yield to high ISO that separates us from the full frame, if you want to live with the bursts of autofocus and you can stay within the range of focal lengths, is a quality lens stellar, which does not make us regret not being passed to the full frame. Most good full frame lenses cost a lot more than this, and they do not have the same performance. The same Nikkor 24-70 f / 2.8, the saint grNikon zoom lens, placed next to this lens, would not come out happily. Here, I said it.rnrnrn

Pros: Excellent sharpness, constructive quality from a professional lens. Particularly indicated on very low density sensors.

Cons: A little 'vignetting to 18mm, but nothing dramatic compared to the pros of the lens itself.

Opinion: I have a D7200, after trying the Nikon 16-85, 24-85 2.8 / 4, the sigma 17-50 2.8, now I can really say I'm satisfied. First of all, the build quality, which I think is really high, flowing rings at the right point, a nice not too invasive hood that engages with confidence and has no game.rnL sharpness is really its strong point. Obviously 1.8 does not give the maximum but it is a usable opening quietly! Just close at 2 and comes out the blade for which this lens is famous. Another determining factor in the purchase phase was its focal length in relation to the opening. I'll explain. We know well that in very dense sensors ... like the D7200 it is easy to fall into the trap of the shake. With this lens it is easy to work with safety times that help this aspect. rnVery recommended. Seeing is believing!

Pros: Solid and robust construction, scary sharpness

Cons: nobody......

Opinion: I bought this optic to replace my sigma 17-70 2.8-4, just open the box and take it in your hand you immediately notice the weight of having a top optic in your hands when you mount it in the next step (in my case on a 7 d markll) you understand that the countless positive reviews are really real and not the fruit of advertising campaigns ..... well-tried (with empirical evidence) and it does not seem to suffer from front / back focus and even the micro-regulation Af I believe It's okay, but anyway I'm doing it by a technician. I tried to snap at all the focal points, but I think it's a good idea to return the pictures clean and in good colors, blurring it to 1.8 for me it's great (degustibus). I think I can say with certainty that this lens is far superior to the Canon 17-55 (also tried this) for resizing and building. Lens class for APSC ..... I'm going to continue the review after AF micro adjustment after having tested it in much more difficult situations

Pros: Construction - f1.8 - sharpness from 18 to 35 - true class A (rt)

Cons: nobody

Opinion: I regained this glimpse after selling it (Min .... ta) to move to bodies that I have been photographed and Video-graphically disappointed. I bought it for my gh4 but photographed with my 7D (including the one re-purchased used a real deal at 1000 shots), to say that I now also have a 80D, photographed together I have never disappointed the Sigma not I've never been hit by a shot and honestly I'm one of those who have never been afraid of the lack of stabilizer on the optics. Exceptional photo quality, I have now bought it again because I also bought GH5 and it is guaranteed, gh5 with metabones and 18-35 is a winning co-lead in video. More in the 'I will also buy the 20mm f1.4 which in video I was very satisfied, I do not know in photography but I will buy it. RnIt does not have to say much just look at the galleries to realize what it is, for those who use Aps-c bodies, for photos in general, even for events is an optic to keep bossCa aperta .... rnAcquistatelaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Pros: Sharpness already at f2, excellent focal lengths for street, precise and fast autofocus, high quality materials, does not regret the fixed (at focal points).

Cons: The reviews you find around.

Opinion: Hi everyone, I bought this lens because I was perfect (for my way of photographing) the focal points and the fact that it was 1.8. I admit that I was not sure about the bad reviews that thronged in so many dedicated sites, especially I doubted the autofocus. Taken used at 600 € and matched to my D7100, the weight is well balanced and the autofocus is impeccable, really fast and accurate, never throwing away a photo for the wrong focus. At 1.8 you have a good blur and a pretty soft output but already at f2-2.2 is very clear. At 35mm, you can safely take a nice portrait without distortion and 18mm is great for landscapes. It's big and heavy but worth it, it's like 24-70 2.8 as a size, but it's not always a problem because it's Comfortable to handle and is well balanced.rn recommend buying!

Pros: Bright, solid, beautiful, minimal maf distance, quality and brightness of fixed focal lenses without having to change lens!

Cons: Focal range maybe too narrow, heavy (but after a while you do not feel anymore), important as size,

Opinion: Is my first Sigma Art and I do not think it will be the last seen the satisfaction that is giving me! Nice goal, due to the fact that there is no zoom like this, I did not have any calibration problems, the colors are faithful, the mafia has a good speed! Distorce more than I expected at 18mm, but 35 is perfect !! Great for street or portraits! Every time I mount it on the d3300 i take backpacking also the 50th, because you never know !!! The dimensions are important, we are about the size of the Sigma macro 105, just less !!! Weight is felt, especially if you have an entry level! Concluding the goal I really liked it, only I still need a lot of experience to handle it !! A 1.8 is already very sharp, useful in low light or indoor conditions, closing slightly the diaphragm is perfect! RnAgrication: I used it recently for some party and the possibility of using it with very open diaphragms allowed me toAvoid using the flash (which I do not know how to handle very well), recommended for use in the interior, but in my opinion the portraits and landscapes (even the night) are her daily bread! I have to say that this range of narrow focuses is teaching me a lot, you feel you have to move and manage the scene better to fix the picture, not just a zoom! I highly recommend it to all the aps-c holders, my heart's crying to have to abandon it because of my upcoming move to Fx!

Pros: bright and detailed

Cons: so far no ... maybe the weight but the old guardia..flash knapsack battery, bag with 3 4 optical ...

Opinion: Use this for a few days and I have a few optical references as I switched to Canon recently, despite what the 7D mark 2 does very very well fine details, out of focus very nice, the diaphragm 1.8 helps a lot in spite of today's machines have certainly a few excellent light problems also the focal 18 35 versatile little appearance but on the other hand APSC to my taste is very enjoyable. Precisely this was the feature that saw me hesitant in buying, instead I'm finding very well (coupled to other optical longer course) .consigliato? APSC is only so if you want the switch to full frame otherwise think twice in the future absolutely ... nothing back focus problems no flaws for now ... then they will come out well I will do this ...

Pros: Luminosity, construction, smoothness of the rings.

Cons: Exit too short.

Opinion: Used on the Nikon d7200, it's a great lens. Returns sharp shots already at TA. Weight? There is, like all very bright lenses, not a handicap. The materials used are excellent, the rings flow smoothly. For a good balance, you should have a body that weighs the weight, so it is advisable to purchase a battery grip.

Pros: Sharpness already wide open, perceived quality, brightness, holds great flare and AC, reduced minimum focusing distance

Cons: dimensions and weight, difficult to AF to be calibrated, almost always required USB dock, small zoom range, does not cover the Full Frame

Opinion: I had this great lens from Pentax and when I switched to Nikon I could not help but buy it back. outstanding optical quality, always crystal clear, at all focal lengths and also wide open, that's better than many fixed, is stunning. Chromatic aberrations and flare are almost entirely absent, very difficult to find, and the focus is quiet and pretty fast, really feels like the good qualities, it gives the feeling of being well built. Some small difettuccio there, but I can assure you that the advantages are far greater and will definitely diminish the importance. In visual terms it can be said only that TA is a bit of vignetting, I like, but if you want you off with one click in post-production, while the rest of the defects are the size and weight fairly important (but it was inevitable for a zoom 1.8) and the fact that if you do a good calibration with hardly otterrano satisfactory results Sigma USB Dock. Let me be clear, it is important to performKing calibration on all lenses, in combination with every body, but with this Sigma it becomes absolutely essential, otherwise you might be disappointed. Another small flaw, but it was inevitable, is reduced excursion of the lens, in some cases could use to get off a few millimeters lower, but above all to climb a few millimeters more on the 35. And 'a lens of which I fell in love, so much so that I find myself working with D7200 and D750, and I was thinking of taking a D810 to be used in combination with the D750 in the area double, but the problem is how to replace the 18-35! Qualitatively, the solution would be to take three good fixed (type Sigma 24, 35 and 50 1.4 ART), but would be very expensive and much less convenient and versatile, because you should stay constantly to change his lens. In short, a lens recommended to all who feel able to exploit it and to put in mind that a successful calibration of FA with dedicated dock (sold separately) is required.

Pros: Construction, image quality, brightness, internal zoom, fluidity of nuts ... takes you out of trouble in the most difficult situations

Cons: ... When no one in particular ... maybe the price if it is used ...

Opinion: Bought almost by accident ... or rather I was in my local store to see a Sigma 17-70 f / 2.8-4 when the shopkeeper told me: "I also have a Sigma 18-35 f / 1.8 ... Art used ... you want to try it? ... it's a nice goal very bright ... ". Obviously I try, I do some shooting in the store, I see that is very bright, the quality looks good, and after a while I decide to take it. It home and begin to do the tests, but be honest and do not satisfy me pienemente. Fortunately my judgment changes to the first semi-serious use (say half-seriously because I'm not a professional photographer, but ...). They ask me to take pictures inside on two separate occasions ... do not tell you the surprise when I saw the files ... is an understatement to say bright, beautiful to say even less, with a blurred soft and very pleasant .. .. then again ... i'm not a professional, but the results are great (obviously without the flash) ... i can not give technical judgments, but if you know how to use properly produces perfect file. One must of course have a minimo knowledge of the basics of photography (aperture, speed, ISO) otherwise it is awkward to use and automatically (tried) does not give good results. Also excellent in those situations with backlit subject when with normal lenses you can not fix anything and you have to resort to the flash. Mine does not suffer from f / b focus and I coupled to a Nikon D5300. Surely it is to have if you make pictures in internal, unfortunately I have not had the chance to try it out for sporting events and so can not say if this is af lightning or not. Finally I can say that it is very good and recommend it to tutti.rn ... and anyway, just to finish the story first, then son came home with two goals, 18-35 and 17-70.rnCiao at all. ..spero this my humble tale may serve other pe choose the right target.

Pros: Construction, image quality, brightness, internal zoom, fluidity of the ferrules

Cons: Pesantuccio (but balanced), AF good but not as fast and precise as other Canon lenses (higher end though), not easy to use at room temperature and AF to calibrate almost certainly.

Opinion: I bought recently for my Canon 70D and tried it indoors. excellent construction (much higher than the 17-55 canon), fairly quiet and accurate AF (f / 1.8 is not perfect). The quality and sharpness of the images is embarrassing (in a good way) than other objectives of this belt. hand-free use in TA is not easy because of the reduced pdc, we must make us a little 'hands. Council usb dock purchase Sigma because it is very likely that the AF should be calibrated. The lens hood is standard and the graft is a bit 'hard, but so be it. Many say that the hike is too small and lacks the stabilizer .. well .. try to imagine a similar lens that has greater zoom range (f / 1.8 constant) and stabilizer .. weighed at least twice and it cost 4 times much. more than a handyman is a zoom lens that encompasses fixed focal 3 used a lot (18-24 - 35). Buy it only if you are notlla looking for a "travel-rounder". The non tropicalization is not a defect seen that 99% of the aps-c is not tropicalized (no sense a weather sealed lens on a body not weather sealed). It is the best lens for aps-c on the market.

Pros: Sharpness, build quality, quiet, unique.

Cons: After a while 'is really heavy, hike a bit' short (18-35mm), APS-C only.

Opinion: This objective is giving me a lot of satisfaction. The quality is such as to divert attention from targets such as Sigma 20 f1.4; The Sigma 24-35mm f2; 24 f1.4 and 35mm f1.4, saving much money. And 'heavy, this is relevant, but like all art, the weight helps me to pay more attention to the goal. Its mass also creates difficulty using steady-cam (or fly-cam). Although everything is really a lens they have become fond of and from which I will never separate myself. The quality of the photos first. I have a Canon 70D.

Cons: Only APSC, weight, zooms "in reverse", substantial cost

Opinion: Unique, zoom from moderate wide angle to normal with an aperture of 1.8 fixes. Waiting to go to FULL frame I think the only zoom that can generate a narrow depth of field between 18 and 35. Pros: Sharpness, color rendering, and performance against the solid construction

Cons: Weight, autofocus inconsistent at distances greater than one meter, suffers much refractive already above the diaphragms 5.6

Opinion: A good lens in the aspect of sharpness and color rendering, but unfortunately these problems that I think make the most inutilizzabile.Dopo various tests and calibrations with dock sigma inconsistency has remained and I do not think it's a problem because of my D7100 with the Nikon 85 f1.8 not by any problema.A full aperture does not suffer at all of the purple fringe that is good for a perspective of this apertura.Veniamo the sore point, the effects of refraction that would normally come into play in very closed diaphragms, are visible even above 5.6, and this makes it a lens completely unsuited to the landscapes where it is required a greater depth of field

The opening 1.8 allows you to take in difficult conditions without loss of quality. L 'AF is lightning and the hypersonic engine is extremely quiet. The stabilization in these focal not needed. There is also some cons: 1) the weight feels lighter camera bodies and therefore, you may want to balance with the bg. 2) if you do not own a camera body with fine-tuning, we recommend purchasing the dock sigma, because there may be problems of front / back focus- I had to adjust the d7000 -20 3) you can not use flash incorporated because the lens casts the shadow on the subject fotografare.rnMi would like to try it with a reflex type D7200 at high ISO values, I think it would be a show! rnComplessivamente us onhigh levels: rating 9.5

Pros: Brightness, sharpness, blur, fast and quiet autofocus

Cons: lightweight front-focus, purchase the necessary USB dock

Opinion: Taken by little, you immediately notice the quality of construction and materials, just as soon as you notice the weight, but I think it is necessary to achieve a lens like this. From the first shots excites a lot, will especially appreciate the opportunity to have a positive shots shorter and therefore more stable, moooooolto sharper and brighter than targets "stabilized" sold in kits (like the 18-55 IS), in effect the comparison should not be done either. For the rest I can not complain about things that you already know from the description as the weight or length of the zoom or the fact that it is not "stabilized", rather the problem is the correction ff or bf to do necessarily with the dock, unless you want to send in assistance with your machine.

Pros: very bright, very good sharpness even at full aperture, precise focus (with USB-Dock), robust construction, excellent quality / price ratio

Cons: bulky and heavy, not tropicalized, zoom a little 'limited, hood and front cap of lower quality than the rest of the optics, USB-Dock practically a must for a precise focus

Opinion: I took this optic to replace the Pentax 16-50 mm f / 2.8 on my K-3 and I immediately realized that it is of another generation. Chromatic aberration almost non-existent, sharpness at full aperture good, which becomes excellent as soon as you close the diaphragm a little. Even the focusing is quite fast and very precise, provided however to calibrate it well with the fine adjustment present on Pentax cameras or, better, with the USB-Dock. The latter is practically a must if you want to get the maximum, because the calibration at different focal lengths and distances is not homogeneous from specimen to specimen, and the only way for a really effective set up is the Dock. Operation that requires time and patience, however, but in the end you will be satisfied. The diaphragm of f / 1.8 is a great thing, but with such an opening wrong aim is a moment, so it requires attention in focusing on the subject. The materials are very robust, including the autofocus / manual focus lever, and the ring nuts are slidable.rnIt is cumbersome and above all heavy. Between the camera and the lens, it takes more than one and a half kilos to be taken into account in long sessions. It would be nice if it was tropicalized, but the price would skyrocket.rnMi has disappointed a little 'the hood. It is sturdy but very hard to put on and take off, you are almost afraid of forcing too much and ruining something. In addition, he lacks the "window" to rotate the polarizer, which Pentax instead had. One succeeds the same but it is not easy, especially for those with big fingers. Even the front cap is a bit too plasticy. Finally, the zoom range is lower than most of the most qualified competitors. 35 mm on the canvas side are a little 'little and at least 10 mm more would not have been bad, although doing so probably, wanting to maintain the same brightness, size and weight (and costs) would have been exaggerated.rnComunque, apart from these details, I'm very satisfied with the purchase because & eserious; a great goal, from which you can get great satisfaction. Cons: weighs as much as a 70-200 f4

Opinion: I sold the canon 15-85 and canon 40mm f2.8 pancake to finance the purchase of an optical decidedly more light and the choice fell on this sigma 18-35 f1.8. At first I was a little hesitant, whereas Sigma was famous among the users who complained about various problems of front / back focus, and having a canon 60D which does not have the micro, but I was hesitant to inform me, I read that the new Sigma has as an accessory (not supplied) to the dock which allows you to adjust the focus using software. Reading on various forums and on various specialized websites that extolled the extreme and unexpected quality of the art 35 f1.4 and the 18-35 f1.8, I am convinced !!! I ordered and just arrived, I was amazed by building exceptional optics, uniform sharpness from the center to the most extreme part of the frame at all focal lengths. Maf very accurate and great bokeh. Finally I can meet with an optical versatile, strong and radiant, the most major limitation of the APSC sensors: noise at high iso.
