Pros: The pros according to my personal style and nothing more: AF, COLORIMETRY, STABILIZATION, IMAGE QUALITY, BODY, FEELING AND HOLD AT HIGH ISO
Cons: Display adjustable in all directions for me not easy to digest. Failure to set the ISO in a ring to improve practicality (I hope they will solve it through updates), the inability to keep the shutter curtain dropped to protect the sensor (I hope this can also be solved via firmware), standby slowness in use mode. For dynamic photographers, those brief moments are nerve-wracking. Machine lock when saving burst. November 30, 2022: AFC issue they describe in opinions. *
Opinion: I try to speak a little for everyone. I love the car. Now I have Fuji for several years and from XT4 I switched to XH2s. I'm a photographer. I take pictures and that's what I want to talk about. The fuji COLORIMETRY is exceptional, the af is really good! He doesn't miss a beat and if he does, it's because we got it wrong. It recognizes animals and birds in an impressive way. Much faster than the Sony A9 I own. Before even focusing it is as if he had already understood and tac! Here we go! It always seems like a span above my thoughts. The high ISO seal is also excellent: I work up to 12800 average, and the files are definitely good! High quality dynamic range. I really recommend it because for me it is the right compromise to make excellent photography. I could also talk about videos, but it's not my field, so I leave room for those who understand more. The things that I just can't digest are described in the "cons". Just today they do not go down with me. I do not want to repeat them because, after some time, that they have not yet been resolved is unjustifiable for me. And it's not true that when you set ISO once, you're fine. But not at all! Maybe in the studio with the lights under control. But for those who work in sports halls, with artificial lights that cannot be controlled, in particular situations in short... ISOs must be kept under control. We let ourselves be influenced too often by what a machine can do. And that's not good. But here we would open another discussion. Another thing I want to say, flickering. It is present. Even with active anti flickering. I didn't come across it often, but sometimes I did. It does not create defects in the photo such as to throw it away, rather it creates lights and shadows that can also be used to our advantage on some occasions. But, both in mechanics and electronics, sometimes the problem gives it and you have to be careful. As far as I'm concerned nothing alarming but when we are in situations of particular light, do not let the camera do it, but rather, a check for safety give it. The stacked sensor works perfectly. In electronic shutter, photographing sports (Padel), zero distortion of the ball. The machine is a big machine. Still to be discovered, on some unripe points, but I am convinced that Fuji will remedy the small problems he has. We will grow together. * November 20. For a whole week in which I found myself working for sporting events with artificial lighting (but not with little light) I encountered a big problem: AFc with slow tracking. At any fps I shot... On 100 photos.. 1 good. I generally don't do long but short bursts. And I try (knowing very well the sport I am going to photograph, sports dance) to take moments without waste. In short, I have been photographing this discipline for eight years. Never had such problems. I tried to solve the problem by changing all the settings. Nothing to do. I also noticed that the various types of subject tracking .... One is worth the other because they don't work. They are all the same. Things never encountered with the XT4. This is a serious problem in my view. I've already contacted fuji and let's see how they fix it. In my review I speak very well of the AFC with fast tracking with 10 20 30 40 FPS .. I keep reiterating its excellent quality. I will continue to update the situation. |
