Opinion: As an amateur. I use it on the go together with the 18-55 zoom and I'm fine. Equipped with vintage lens hood and neutral filter for battle. Mounted on xt30 II, it runs light, I use it in all weather conditions and at sea, obviously paying attention to the camera body which is not wr (sigh!). To tell one story, trekking in the rain, taken out for a few shots, made condensation on the filter, but the optics were perfect. The 40mm eq focal length is great for everything, with a few steps forward or backward, I like it. I often use f8 even on landscapes, clean photos.
