Pros: Focal range , sharpness , ois , distortion

Cons: It is not wr ... but on the used there can be spend less for the first version

Opinion: An extraordinary lens that for sharpness and focal range offers a lot, even its stabilizer makes shooting much smoother and more cinematic .. I'm happy with my choice, the Fuji optical park is really great : now I have the 23 wr 1.4 the 50 wr 1.0 and this magnificent wide angle stabilized ... light and sharp , at the price of used more from this lens could not ask for

Pros: Color rendering, ac seal, sharpness, colors, construction, weight and size

Cons: Falling lines

Opinion: I got to try this optics for a few days, beautiful in all or almost... It would have been considered the best apsc optics of its kind, well built, good colors, sharp from 10 to 24 already from f4, refraction not even so annoying on the 26mpx up to f8, but not even exaggerated to f11.. in short everything perfect except that it tends to suffer a lot from the vertical lines especially between 10 and 18mm and by memory much more than other lenses of the same segment that I have owned on Nikon, in short, managing the lines on this lens is a bit difficult, in short ok for landscape, less in use for street or events in my opinion , maybe just a matter of habit.

Pros: Build quality, image quality, size

Cons: Wr absence, 10mm edge distortion

Opinion: After a year of use I can undoubtedly say that the 10-24 is one of my favorite Fuji lenses. Versatile lens and potentially suitable for a thousand uses, it allows you to range with the composition and to fully enjoy the optical and constructive quality, which will certainly give you beautiful satisfactions. Af is also good. As flaws I detect the absence of tropicalization (now introduced in the new WR version of this lens) and the distortion at the edges that is felt especially at the slightest focal point and that must inevitably be managed when composing the image.

Pros: Image quality, focal, compactness.

Cons: Lack of tropicalization.

Opinion: Fantastic, my favorite lens without any doubt. For someone who makes landscape is the ultimate lens. The 10mm focal is stunning and even zooming up to 24mm allows you to space a lot in composition. Of course the f4 is not very good for milky and stars, for which I use the Samyang 12mm, but the diaphragm that is used 9 times out of 10 is from f11 to close. For the focal point that is, it's also decidedly portable and lightweight, the only problem is the fact that it's not tropicalized, that's why there's the Mark II.

Pros: Weight, construction, stabilization, retractable lampshed, very useful focals (at least for me), excellent sharpness from 5.6 onwards, very pleasant and precise manual focus. With the XT20's APS-C sensor still discreetly bright.

Cons: As someone else has already pointed out, with the 10-24 mounted on the XT20 the Flash is almost unusable; Bokeh modest, flare often present if the sun enters the frame. Maybe jpg cools the colors a little (compared to the 1.4 that return warmer shades) but not if I'm sure. From 12' to 10' distortion to a terrible barrel, practically unusable internally, but maybe it is the laws of optics and it is not the fault of the goal.

Opinion: I took it 6 months ago, used in perfect condition paid well under 500, and I'm very happy about that. Among my 3 Fuji objectives is the one I use the most. I love the landscape and in my municipality (Gorizia) the beautiful views are not lacking, which is important in these times of orange zone. A few hundred meters away is Slovenia which is in the Alpine landscape one of the most beautiful places in Europe (now you can not go... but Covid will end). When I go out x photo I bring this 10-24/f4 and the wonderful 35/f1.4. I held 23/f1.4. for its magnificent bookeh but since I have 10-24 (which at maximum focal is almost the same and weighs little more) I use it little, with the other two I have everything I need. The image quality of the 10-24mm f4 is perhaps not that of the f/1.4 (or rather the 23mm and 35mm the others do not know them) but the small gap is largely compensated by versatility. The colors seem to me a colder pelino and obviously the comparison on the Bookeh does not hold (but at f4 at 24mm there is also that, not very deep but of good quality, see my photos below). In the central area from 5.6 up it is just sharper than the 18-55 f2.8, just make a comparison of the same frame and you see immediately, and also (here the difference is seen more) of the 14 f2.8 that I got to try. I wanted the 14 fixed x weight and footprint patterns, but after a few comparisons I kept the zoom 10-24, which is the best possible compromise (Fuji APS-C) between focals, image quality, brightness, weight and cost. Maybe I'd prefer a 12-35 (who knows if it exists or they'll make one...) because from 12' to 10' it has a really annoying barrel distortion. I tried (on the kind advice of you Juzisti) a couple of free tools like Raw Therapee and Capture by Fuji but nothing to do: to correct the barrel I think you need Photoshop, that is to pay.

Pros: Construction, footprint, focal

Cons: Lack of WR

Opinion: Quality wide-angle zoom, compact and crisp. I have not found the lack of sharpness that some complain about. Unfortunately after a few months of use there was already dust between the lenses, which I can not stand, especially if visible in the shots above f8. Sold for use, at 10mm it is too extreme for my type of photography and at the other focals I was already covered.

Pros: Construction, Sharpness, Compactness.

Cons: Lampshed, WR, Pairs Variations, AF Precision Attention on Distant Objects, Star Effect.

Opinion: I've tried it a lot and done a lot of trials compared to other zooms and stares. Pro really great construction beautiful rings not only metal but also rubber quality sharpens very high excellent focal contrasts extremely flexible for photography landscapes and trips all in all compact and light given the focal points. Against missing the WR gaskets for dust and humidity you wanted to save unfortunately for this zoom would have been very useful formation dust inside slow. Paraluce I do not find it excellent alternatives maybe in metal such as the possibility of the Fuji 16 f1.4 are not found. Against also qualitative variations pairs of 10-24 Fuji. You have to be very careful AF accuracy on distant objects so many times better to focus manually. A little extra misaphragms marked on the ring wouldn't have been bad. The AF compared to the first pair looks slightly better perhaps reason because either done Fuji X-T3 update, However those looking for quality in absolute wide-angle side better fixed optics type 14 2.8/16 1.4. I recommend this 10-24 Fuji optics indeed can not miss for photography landscapes but also for trips very suitable beautiful zoom perhaps an update to remove missing WR and AF latest generation. P.S. Tip: On this lens after hundreds of tests when I take freehand photos with the stabilizer activated use manual focus setting high contrast red plus electronic shutter setting the final results are in my opinion better minus the micro moving risk and more precise focus. Extremely flexible optics for landscape photography closing a few stobs goes great while with the 8-16 2.8 certainly more extreme wide angle and bright at the disadvantage only heavy 150mm slab filters practically weighs twice as much as the 10-24 so even much higher costs. The biggest problem of this optics to a complex construction plus the stabilizer too many things I would say but this one in general for extreme wide-angle zooms could be questioned what is then a stabilizer on these focal but the biggest problem certainly variation quality pairs of 10-24 with very frequent problem decentralized optics maybe the angles we find good at F8.0/11 certainly not a positive thing caught for this optics with very sharpness.

Pros: Focus, versatility, sharpness, build quality, stabilization.

Cons: Manual focus is not 100% perfect.

Opinion: I bought this lens because in my previous kit the preferred lens was the Sigma 10-20, so the choice was very easy. I have to say that I'm finding myself really well, the focal excursion is very comfortable and versatile, it does not force you to constantly change goal. The image quality is in my opinion excellent at any focal point, churning out very sharp photographs (except at the edges at full opening, where it loses something as it is physiological that it is). The build quality is excellent, like most Fuji targets. Stabilization is also excellent, in case of low light it is a godsend given that the maximum aperture is F4. The only new focus manual in case of very low brightness, in my specimen not absolutely perfect and that requires an extra step of attention (but the electronic aids of the camera come to the rescue). In conclusion, I can only recommend this lens for those who love landscape and architecture photography, you will not regret it at all!

Pros: Impeccable construction, very nunded, distortion absent to all focal points if held in bubble

Cons: It's not tropicalized

Opinion: In fact it was a bit in epic ,bought new with CB the lens was defective from 10 to 14 mm did not focus, after a month returned from assistance now I have to say that I am very satisfied!!! I also have the sammy 12 f2 that I will keep for photos via milky etc but the focal excursion is really very comfortable. Another thing that struck me is the absence of distortions even at 10mm if held in bubble. In addition it has a focus distance of only 20cm Very sharp both in the center that you have sides of the frame Is F4 but for a wide angle I do not see a limit. Great for landscapes and architecture and in addition is stabilized I have to say to be very satisfied!!!

Pros: Focus excursion, lightness, sharpness, robustness.

Cons: Nothing to point out

Opinion: I paired this lens with the Fuji X-T3 and the X-T20, coming from the Samyang 12mm. The Samy was a great lens but limited because fixed. This is light, even in comparison to others I had with Canon and Nikon reflex. Very sharp, zero vignette, stabilized. It is an f4 but in this case the brightness does not count because I often use it on tripods, but also freehand with stabilization the problem does not exist. My lampshade doesn't seem to hook up very well, it does a bit of play, even if it never came off accidentally.

Pros: Construction and lightness, focal length, distortion correction, stabilized, overall yield, accepts 72 mm filters.

Cons: No WR, made to the edges so, controls and nuts (the diaphragm is a limit, sometimes you are with diaphragm in A because you accidentally hit the selector).

Opinion: It is definitely a perfect optics to travel light and shoot in broad daylight or even with less light. It is sharp even at F4 but the yield to the edges decade especially with very close subjects; For landscape remains acceptable but probably Fuji felt the need to improve the yield and marketed the new 8-16 (much more expensive and heavy). Having also had the Sigma 10-20 F3, 5 used on DX Nikon I can say that that is more balanced but you can not complain even of Fuji, which maybe vignette less. It Does not replace the luminous fixed that Fuji has in the catalogue but in my opinion is a great purchase for those who want a good wide-angle/handyman to pair maybe to a telephoto zoom like the 55-200. Those who do not want to spend on the new 8-16 and want more quality will find only the 12 mm of other homes and Fuji fixed from the 14 that seem to be exceptional (but are fixed and do not offer field coverage of 10 mm). Wishing to compare to FF (as yield with good light can compare) The 20 f/1.8 Nikon or the 24-35 Sigma F/2 are definitely much more balanced. I Have to say however that as a geometric correction is very good, I do not know if it is software correction but also the raw I come out corrected in Lightroom.

sent on January 02, 2019

Pros: Sharp, versatile and stabilized

Cons: Little Bright Maybe.

Opinion: A great lens that is not even too cumbersome and ranges from 10 to 24mm, the only real flaw in my opinion is that with the integrated flash of the XT-20 is formed a shadow area even without lens hood and that can be very annoying. The stabilizer may seem superfluous but it is not at all, especially at 24mm.

avatarjunior
sent on April 01, 2018

Pros: This is certainly a well-built optics (although not at the Zeiss zoom levels) and equipped with a focal length excursion really useful for those who create architectural images and interior photos.

Cons: Loss of sharpness at the edges (especially at shorter focal lengths); also closing the diaphragm sharpness at the edges improves slightly.

Opinion: I previously owned the Sony 10-18 mounted on Sony Nex 7 and Sony alpha 6000 and I thought I would notice a big difference in quality using the Fujinon 10-24 mounted on Fuji XT 20: unfortunately it was not and I have to confirm how much already written by other photographers who report a noticeable loss of quality at the edges even in rather closed diaphragms. In the exemplar in my possession the best diaphragm is f10 but unfortunately there is a noticeable asymmetry in the yield on the two sides of the image, a sign that the lenses of the complex optical scheme have not been perfectly centered; and thank goodness it was a new lens purchased in a Milan store! Unfortunately, I have to note once again that in the era of globalization the standards of control are not as strict as before and the performance of individual specimens of even valuable goals are no longer exactly the same but we must evaluate each individual separately, which is not it is certainly pleasant in the caseof rather expensive lenses.

Pros: Focal range, construction, cost used

Cons: Obvious distortion, sharpness drop at the edges, useless stabilizer for the intended use of optics, not a worthy rival of competition, resistance to doing

Opinion: This view is love-hate, there is no middle way. I was disappointed by the fall of sharpness beyond the norm at the edges (even F8 does not excite and is the second sample that I buy) and the change in yield to change of focus. I had the 16-35 f4 IS canon and it was a joy to use it, always clear and balanced colors.rnThis in my opinion is the worst optics made by fuji: designed for landscape designers, has all the flaws that a view for landscapes should not have (fall of sharpness at the edges, low resistance to flare, lack of wr). I took a 12mm samyang to replace it, waiting for the 8-16 which I hope will be at the height of the competition. At home fuji is missing an ultra-wide-angle zoom worthy of the name and at the height of other fuji lenses that are almost always higher than the competition.rnrnA optic warning to be redone completely in a second version.

Pros: Versatility, good metal construction, diaphragm lenses on the lens like all fuji lenses, contrast, sharpness in the center, contrast and color, fast, precise auto focus, stabilizer.

Cons: Focus ring in the manual not precise, sharp edge sharpness even with closed diaphragms f9 f11, flare

Opinion: I bought this lens for landscape, since Fuji for now does not have many alternatives, the construction of the lens is impeccable all in metal, the first thing to notice is that the machine and the lens work too well, af speed, precision af, and virtually null distortions like vignetting, what is known after opening files in any photo development program is that the file is being overwritten by software from the machine in an almost extreme way, losing a lot of sharpness to the edges while in the center is very contrasting and sharp, I have also tried with another goal of a friend and the results are almost identical. A little bit of allergic to the back light creates annoying flare difficult to eliminate. Conclusion is a good lens, at the same rate as the Canon 16 35 f4, it probably has a better sharpness in the center of the picture even though it loses some edge, great for those looking for a landscape zoom while waiting to see the new lens that fuji is pulling out 8 16 f2.8, remains the mpolarized wide angle lens in home fujifilm.

Pros: Build quality, stability, versatility

Cons: size, price

Opinion: Bought exactly one week, and the first optical drive as the first serious (I combined with an XT-10 because my father owns a Xe-2 with 18-55, 55-200, 56 ... so we exchange Optical necessary ...). I only had a few shots, the alternatives were either 14 or 16 .... I like the versatility of the zoom. I must say it is quite versatile, I used to photograph some glimpses of the historic district of my village and I met, while taking into account that virtually nothing because of my experience (I come from a compact camera and ZERO knowledge of optics, diaphragms etc. etc.). plus with the machine set on Auto and Macro function, I photographed a small grasshopper on a stone wall and the result it seemed more than acceptable. Compared to the only fixed, or 56, and its "limitations", I am currently soddisfatoo of choosing this instead of 14, for example. Price higher end, but what I read Finore Fuji lenses typically have high quali... ity and that, you know ... you pay ...

Pros: Focal range, sharpness, durability, excellent stabilizer

Cons: ergonomics (see comment) price, size and weight in relation to aperture.

Opinion: 27 ergonomics. I mean that the union nuts (focal length, aperture and mf) are arranged so as not instinctive and sized a little reduced. Often I find myself automatically remove the eye from the viewfinder to see which ring I'm putting my fingers. This I consider a "counter" but certainly not a tragedia.rnMontato the X-T1 makes the car look even more smaller than what '! Soon I dotero handle increased (no battery grip) to increase grip and feel for the camera body / lens a bit more balanced in my opinion mano.rnA and 'a fabulous lens with which you do a lot of things and yet also very well. The prospects for the 10mm focal length (15mm equivalent of 35mm) are unique and very interesting and give the possibility of creative shots. If you hold the machine is level, even at 10mm distortions are almost inesistenti.rnInsomma, if you accept the money, and then 'a lens STRACONSIGLIATISSIMA! RnMax

Pros: Perfect balance between the classic and ultrawide 35mm (FF) to keep mounted for those who like street and reportage.

Cons: A little 'oversized compared to the extremely compact bodies fuji, but still agile to handle

Opinion: I got the 10-24 because when I go out with the Fuji I want to be with very few optics and a small borsa.rnCon this and the 18-55 I do everything that I like and I have a weight at the end of the day you do not do this sentire.rnCon wonderful zoom lines remained straight even if you're on the bubble 10 mm, very good yield davvero.rnHo renounced the Sigma 8-16 on Canon APS-C with no regrets, here I can also mount the filtri.rnCostruzione and feeling as last Fuji lenses, the highest level. That is all that I paid 950 Euro.

Pros: Quality, build quality (as always), good range of focal lengths.

Cons: Heavy (by my standards) and a bit too far, a little 'dark when used as a standard handyman.

Opinion: This includes a nice zoom range of focal lengths, which I love very much. A 10mm is not perfect, but I do not think there are perfect lenses to 10mm (though I do not have much experience with other brands to judge). At 14 we are on the highest level but not at the level of the XF 14mm f2.8 (I would like to see :-)), 18 are at the top, better than 18 fixed and I was able to use, always at high levels 24 but the XF23 f1 4 is another thing. The result? If you want the absolute quality of this zoom lens can not replace the fixed mentioned (except the 18th), but if you want an all-in-one, well it is a lens that Mr. matches. I believe the combination 10-24 + 35mm great for travel reportage.
