Pros: resolution, weight, menu', af, video.

Cons: for now nothing, needs adequate lenses

Opinion: I've always had nikon SLR up to d 850, with the advent of ml I took a few years ago z6 and then return to d850, now I switched to z7ll and at first glance I was quite satisfied. I immediately replaced the zoom 24-70f4 with 24-70 f2.8z because 'it did not stand absolutely the comparison with my old equipment, I'm satisfied with the resolution, the speed' operating, the af, video compartment, finally I go out with a backpack' lighter, double slot etc. For now I'm quite satisfied although I still believe that as files and usable lenses d850 is superior. The lenses z I tried them all, the 24-70 2.8s and the 50mm z are two optics that fully solve that sensor, the f4 did not convince me even a little for the file and for the assembly. For now, however, I have not pulled out any photo that can compare it to d850 + zeiss optics or tamron f1.4 as a general rendering and realism and I think it is more 'a speech of optics. we'll see and update' in the future maybe after a bit of tests even with ftz.

Pros: Resolution, EVF, Weight and footprint, Bayonet Z, weight

Cons: Price, double slot with two different formats, sharpness issues with "cheap" F-Mount lenses

Opinion: Taken in December to replace the Z6 first series (taking advantage of Nital's supervaluation), I was pleasantly satisfied. All the improvements they have made are "under the hood" but you can perceive all of them. Starting from the new AI for Autofocus, finally at the height of a product of this range. Of course the sensor so "dense" made me set aside some F-mount optics that I used with dignity on the D610 and Z6, but if the premises for the new bayonet are those of the Nikkor 24-70 f/4, we are faced with a really fantastic pairing both for sharpness and speed of autofocus. Being a mirrorless there are some things that purists of (D)SLR will find difficult to digest (on all Autofocus assisted by AI which, even giving up eye tracking and other advanced features has a more complex behavior to interpret), but undoubtedly it is an important technological leap in some ways comparable to the transition from film to digital. And the difference in weight is felt, not only in the Suitcase.

Pros: Silent, electronic viewfinder, menus that reflect the SLRs and last but last but perhaps the most important menu i.

Cons: No one at the moment

Opinion: I was used to certainly bulky machines (D3 and later) the first time you have in your hands... was a little perplexed given its very different weight from my other machines not last the D850 with battery grip, here.... if the Z7 is used with adapter ring and F optics on my behalf you have a forward imbalance..... I just could I completed it all with battery grip...... even if it costs an eye, but this is just my habit of having an "important" body in my hands. The Z7II is versatile, absolute clarity with the 24/70 f2.8 S.... countless possibilities of settings on both people and animals, with the possibility of having three personalized and pre-set menus changing to the need in a moment. It was hard to abandon the reflex..... but I'm not regretting everything else. Small update.... there is no user manual of the Z7 II... you have to make do with that of the Z7 where unfortunately fundamental parts are missing.... focus on the eye of people/animals and at the time detail of the battery grip controls.... you have to adapt with the one in English..... now I understand the paper manual that is not there, but at least online that it is in Italian...... dunno. Update: I don't know if it depends on the Z7 or whether it's an ml, but the maf doesn't seem like lightning to me, does anyone have the same impression?

Pros: Electronic viewfinder, quick menus, possibility of customization of menus, important variety of MAF systems, ergonomics and weight.

Cons: the display that can only be extracted and oriented for horizontal photos. If you shoot vertically, very low, you are forced to throw yourself on the ground.

Opinion: I recently owned this beautiful camera and come from a D850, so I dare say a respectable car. The Z7II immediately conquered me, for its ergonomics and for its fantastic menus. I admit that I was afraid, as the D850 has complete and well-positioned configuration buttons for quick use, well, the Z7II's "i" button was a wonderful surprise. It is possible to customize it in all ways and you can see it on the monitor but also inside the electronic viewfinder to modify it even during the shooting session without moving your head. There are also many MAF modes that I believe can cover all photographic specialties, for example I was impressed by the "lock on" chase on action photos, going so far as to customize even the 2 M1 and M2 buttons just to quickly switch between modes during the session. It has an incredible "H+" mode burst and especially with the typical mirrorless silence excellent in birdlife. For now I only have the native 24-70 2.8 for Z's, but the adapter quietly use all my old Nikon designed and also the classic 150-600 SIGMA without any problems. The overall weight, using the 24-70 is great, my backpack has lightened a lot. I am very satisfied, a step I should have taken earlier.
