Pros: Lightweight, excellent autofocus, sharpness, relative value holding considering that it is an F, tropicalization.

On low focal lengths (around 20) clearly affected by the comparison with both the 20Nikon and especially with the 21Zeiss Distagon, but the latter is a technical masterpiece, little to do. Distortion between 18 and 20 is easily corrected in post production, so it's not a big problem. I find the best to give it to 28mm. Highly recommended anyway.

Very sharp landscape diaphragms without ever particular defects such as chromatic aberrations or flare, light and therefore excellent to carry with you and with the diameter for 77mm screw filters that is always very comfortable. Super recommended optics especially in combination with a D600/610 or D750/780. Now that I no longer own either the D600 or the D750 I can say that it is the only lens that I really miss...

Pros: Excellent sharpness to all excursions and diaphragms, it returns saturated and natural colors. Precise and fast autofocus. Absence of flares even in "difficult" conditions. Robust but lightweight construction. Diameter of only 77 cm., economical.

Cons: My closed diaphragm specimen I find a little dark and prefer in post-production, open the diaphragm of 1.5 stop

Opinion: I bought it second-hand after much indecision, mainly because among the various defects, it was attributed a heavy distortion. I did not find any defect in this lens and the barrel distortion, detected at 18 mm but never excessive, is normal to these focal points and is easily solvable in post production. This lens is giving me a lot of satisfaction, I recommend to anyone.

Cons: Minimum focal "only" of 18mm

Opinion: Used nowhere to be found. Whoever has this goal, does not give it away easily. I took it to replace the Tokina 16-28 2.8 first series. Although I also rated the 16-35 Nikon house, in the end I preferred this because much lighter, more practical and cheaper. Compared to other brighter wide angles it gives the possibility to mount filters with standard measuring holders (which is no small feat). It is a lens that gives great satisfaction especially on the road or in the mountains where the weight in the backpack is an important factor to consider.
