Pros: less expensive (poor man pro tele lense); lightweight (perfect for travel); good sharpness; not-too-intimidating lens (good for candid)

Cons: slightly soft at 200mm (for the best result, take at 135mm f/4 or 200mm f/5.6); sometimes non IS affects shake-blur

Opinion: The lens is perfect for travel, & also perfect in term of price/quaility. The only thing you can't get is beautiful bokeh blur - it is not really necessary when we do landscape, reportage or even human interest portrait during travel (you could capture the environment background as a part of story, anyway). To me, combining with another lightweight 85mm f/1.8, or 135mm will be a wise choice. Just my 2 cents ;-). Www.budiharyantophoto.com

Pros: Low price, fast and precise AF, sharp, non-CA, lightweight, construction

Cons: Nothing from lens itself, but tripod ring not included.

Opinion: This was my upgrade from the 70-300mm non-L. I don't know where to start: first I noticed that the construction is excellent, it deserves the "red-L-ring". The image quality is just fantastic, it can be used even at f/4 and the image isn't so soft like other lenses. The AF is very fast and very accurate. I can't complain about it's non-IS or just f/4 aperture, for this price it's just fantastic as it is. I wish that it would come with the tripod ring included. It can be used for portraits, wildlife and events.

Pros: Sharpness, accurate construction and weight.

Cons: It 'sa F4 unregulated.

Opinion: On paper it is the ugly duckling of the family 70-200 but optical performance is uncompromising. In relation to the cost there is no argument that can actually detract from this lens. The AF is fast and incredibly accurate. As I said is a F4 but with small steps to "manual of photography" you get a good focus. If your budget does not allow the F2 .8 or the stabilized version of this (but it costs almost twice as much) lens is a must-have.

Pros: Price, extreme sharpness, weight

Cons: Nothing

Opinion: The bianchino is the smallest of the Canon 70-200 L series, definitely the best as quality / price ratio! Costs half brother's stabilized, it's up to you to decide if it is to stabilize the price difference :) Going back to the 70-200 f / 4 L, is razor sharp optics with constant aperture f / 4. It 'lightweight and compact, can be multiplied (1.4 x) without major problems of sharpness. The 'f / 4 can be a problem if you plan to shoot in low light, this is the f/2.8 version! Hello Fabio

Pros: Light, crisp, very cheap compared to the services offered, robust

Cons: No

Opinion: I bought this lens used for an honorable figure. Has an optical quality exaggerated than what I expected. It 's very light and versatile, also mounted on a body as light as my 450 is well balanced. I think the constant aperture f4 is not to be considered as a defect because it offers in exchange for two things alone are worth the second lot, a fair price and a ratio dimensions / weight unbeatable. A goal very successful in my opinion.

Pros: Superb Optics by definition, color and cost.

Cons: Not riescoi prorpio to find! perhaps the lack of sealing, but just to be overly picky.

Opinion: It 'was my first zoom 70/200L maybe I was one of the first to buy it (if nliron mistake in 1996). Opinion: Stunning optical clarity spectacular, before you buy it I tried the stable version which in my opinion is twice as expensive, but in terms of sharpness is lower than the non-stabilized version. The construction is accurate, very sturdy yet lightweight. A goal to be recommended for those traveling backpacker is does not want to charge too much.

Pros: Sharpness, colors, resistance to CA-flare and whatnot, speed and precision autofocus, value, construction, internal zoom, bokeh.

Opinion: There is little to say about this lens. Fantastic in any situation, from portraits to sports, nature photography. Despite being born to FF, I found it excellent even on aps-c (with the use 40d). Sharpness at all focal scary at all apertures, autofocus that butt shot and a quick thanks to the limiter. Is not tropicalized but the construction is very good and the zoom internal therefore does not lengthen the barrel is very ergonomic. It goes with all cameras, even the lighter ones as however despite being a telephoto L-series has a size and weight. Used cost around € 450, a real bargain for this lens that does not disappoint really ever. I got to try both the Extender 1.4 (once unfortunately) and extension tubes: always great, also multiplied does not lose enamel even at room temperature and with the tubes the magnification becomes estramente not too interesting for macro forces (such as butterflies & c). Of course, the brother IS is better in all ways, but costs almost twice as much! I'm soddisfatissimo!

Pros: Construction, general optical quality, fast autofocus and always accurate price.

Cons: Lens hood, tripod ring not included.

Opinion: For 600 euro is a goal of the highest quality: relatively light but well built, the optical quality is high, and some tests I did I would say that is comparable all'f2 .8 closed to a stop as sharpness. As reflections and chromatic aberration no problem. The brightness f4 constant is not a big deal (at full aperture is perfect) and can greatly reduce size and weight compared all'f2 .8. The autofocus is fast and accurate thanks all'USM ring, with the inevitable correction manual always available. The price is very beneficial, I paid 600 euro but it is also 500, and the ratio q / p I think it is one of the best lenses available. It is not sealed, but in light rain does not give no problems. The tripod mount ring can be very useful, unfortunately, is not included and the original cost the earth (150 euro I think), fortunately if they are of the same at 20 euro :) The shade of the old type, not very robust and above is hard to put on well. But if major faults are these two, you will understand that it is a goal to have ;)

Opinion: It 'was my first goal Series praised L. .. I already using it on the 400D, since the use of 5D2 is further improved! It 's small, lightweight, with a truly excellent image quality, it costs very affordable and virtually instantaneous autofocus. Pros: Construction - made - money - keeping the value

Cons: Nothing

Opinion: I was torn between the tamron 70 300 vc and the canon 70 200 f4, I have to say that buying the canon 70 200 is the best thing I've ever done in my life! The quality of the photos are super sharp and the colors are beautiful. rnSe the stabilizer was not cost twice as good buy, in fact, in low light you feel the lack of stable especially when shooting in the woods.
