nikon_z24-120_f4Nikon Z 24-120mm f/4 S

Pros: An excellent zoom to have always grafted, or at least in the bag.

Cons: A pity not to have it.

Opinion: Excellent lens from all points of view. When I switched to the Z system I turned up my nose for the plastic construction of the lenses, but using them I had to change my mind about everything. It has replaced the 24-70 f4S of the initial kit very well, and together with the Z20mm f 1.8S they constitute my current optical park that for now I have no intention of expanding. Both lenses have the 77mm filter pitch and I could store the adapter ring once and for all, it is not a determining factor for a purchase, I know, but a plus of convenience in practical use absolutely yes. Very sharp, just a little larger in size than the 24-70 and not too heavy, mounted on the Z7 forms a very well balanced whole. It is built well, but above all it works well, fluid zoom ring and very fast focus. Brava Nikon, although you could have done it before.

nikon_z7Nikon Z7

Pros: From landscape photographer: "Everything"

Cons: From landscaped amateur: "Don't have it"

Opinion: Light, versatile, a fantastic sensor and a dynamic range like few others. For years I was looking for something similar, a machine body that was not a brick, that would allow me to carry a minimum of kit, plus an easel and a couple of targeted accessories to make landscaping without having to sweat the proverbial seven shirts, maybe as a tourist walking around a city in the summer. Of course, choosing between her and the D850 was not easy, but after spending a couple of days (first with one and then with the other), I gave up on the lower weight and the greater transportability. The only regret coming from the analogue: the optical viewfinder. However, the EVF of this Z7 is beautiful and has its advantages, first of all being able to see what the shot will look like even before you do it. And the fact that I only have one memory slot, as a photo-amateur, I don't find it so frustrating. I can understand the professional, but I do not go into the substance because I am not competent in the matter and only one memory slot is enough for me and advances. Absolutely recommended to landscapers.
