Sono Mattia Nocciola, e vivo in un paese in riva al fiume Ticino.
Da che ho memoria sono sempre stato attratto dall'acqua, ho passato l'infanzia giocando nei fontanili e nelle rogge vicino casa dei miei nonni. Crescendo, mi sono appassionato alla pesca, e grazie a una persona speciale ho imparato a pescare con esche artificiali il luccio e la trota marmorata : predatori apicali dell'ecosistema fluviale. Era l'unico modo che conoscevo per entrare in contatto con i pesci, finchè con un caro amico, preoccupati dal numero crescente di catture di siluri nelle nostre zone, abbiamo iniziato a esplorare il fiume con maschera e pinne. Lo stupore di riuscire a esplorare correntoni, buche, prismate, giri d'acqua, raschi si è tramutato in entusiasmo che mi spinge a conoscere i segreti del fiume, e a tentare di condividerli con qualche fotografia, o qualche filmato
