Fujifilm XF 16-80mm f/4 R OIS WR Pros: Versatile, good general quality, tropicalized, stabilized Cons: For its use, none Opinion: It is the classic travel zoom ideal to be mounted in the room and no longer taken off for the duration of the holiday or for the classic Sunday outings in which you do not want to carry your bag and all the paraphernalia and you want to have a good level of all-rounder. The focal range in my opinion is enough to cover, certainly without great pretensions, any kind of photography (or almost), from landscape (excellent that it starts from 16 and not from 18, this is in my opinion an added value) to street, from reportage to portrait, from architecture to travel photos. It's a fun zoom with excellent sharpness that hardly makes you miss any situation when you're out and about. I mainly use Fuji fixed cameras that have a better performance and IQ (but giving up versatility) and therefore I don't use it much, but if I have to leave for a few days, I mount it in the camera and I don't take it off anymore, except maybe for some evening shots since it's not very bright. For its specific use, recommended. sent on December 04, 2023 |
Fujifilm X-T4 Pros: Battery life, stabilized sensor, control of the 3 parameters mechanically off spot, buttons locking dials, tremendously beautiful Cons: As far as my usage goes, none Opinion: I chose it because compared to the previous versions it has a better grip of the grip, articulated screen, a significantly longer battery life and for the stabilized sensor that for the kind of photos I take is sometimes, not always, important. Also, now that I'm used to checking iso, aperture and shutter speeds when the camera is off and especially mechanically I wouldn't go back. Excellent viewfinder and AF that "helps" in some way those lenses that don't really have so much performance (the 18mm f/2 for example, which is the lens that I have practically always mounted). I have the grey version, which in my opinion is also very nice, which doesn't hurt. Having only fixed lenses that are not of the latest generation, its 26 mp are more than enough. Recommended. sent on October 27, 2023 |
Fujifilm XF 18mm f/2 R Pros: Compactness, weight, size, small and squared hood (it's nice, which does not hurt), optical quality Cons: You can not remove / put the cap without first removing the hood, optical quality Opinion: The optical quality is very good even if not excellent (for example the Sigma fixed art series at those focal lengths are another thing), and it is for this reason that I indicated it both in the strengths and weaknesses, but it is a fun, cheeky lens, with its own "character", microcontrast enough and that never disappoints. The AF is in my opinion good, better than the 35 1.4 that I have, probably, indeed certainly less performing than the new 18mm f / 1.4. For professionals perhaps, but I emphasize perhaps, the new 1.4 is preferable, but for all the others a highly recommended lens, except perhaps for sports photos or in any case for those where a super performing AF is required. I keep it perpetually mounted for several months now on my X-T4 and I am absolutely satisfied. sent on October 14, 2023 |
