Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM II Pros: All! Cons: Nothing! Opinion: I bought this lens 2 and a half years ago for 1600 euros, an exceptional price for such a lens. Today it also costs more than it cost at the exit. Used at first with a 6D and later with the R5. In both cases it proved to be a fantastic lens, with the mirrorless in question it does its best, taking advantage of a camera with AF clearly superior to 6D. I carried it with me in my backpack in all the picnics I did, even in the mountains. Spectacular rendering and sharpness at full aperture, both for fauna, birdlife and landscapes, the quality of this lens is at the top among the zoom superteles of this category, and I say this without the slightest doubt to be denied. The construction is impeccable, robust and very reliable. In naturalistic I have, every now and then, combined the TC 1.4 and, multiplied, does not lose much yield, although, as for all zooms, it is preferable to use it without TC to have the highest quality. The zoom adjustment ring works very well. The hood supplied is also excellent. After taking the R5 and with the release of the 100-500, which has 100 mm more, I started to think about whether it was really worth selling it or not. Eventually, after I was offered 200 euros more than I had paid for it in 2019, I decided to part with it to have a native RF lens like the 100-500. I hope I never regret it! Objects are only material means, but I really reluctantly separated myself from this lens. sent on October 09, 2021 |
Manfrotto MT 055 X PRO3 Pros: Robustness Cons: Weight, lack of bag. Opinion: I bought this tripod two years ago, along with the head BHQ2. On the tripods in question you can only speak positively, it is robust, usually, my Canon 6D did not move a millimeter. The problem, but here the fault was mine in the choice, is that this type of easel is fine if you transport it in the car or carry it on your shoulder for short journeys. Impossible to think of wearing a diet like this in the mountains, the difference with a carbon tripods of a 1 kg you feel it! I carried it on the Three Peaks, I had 4-5 kg of photographic material and 3 kg of tripod, then two water bottles and really little else, it was not easy at all and I have strength. Therefore, if you want to buy a tripod to take in your car without having to walk for a long time, the choice is great. If you want to buy a travel tripods for me this tripod is too heavy and I suggest you buy one maybe carbon. Otherwise this Manfrotto is great for stability and robustness. sent on May 26, 2020 |
Canon 6D Pros: Held high iso, materials, ease of use, colors, handling, price, wi-fi. Cons: Few AF points. Opinion: As before reflex I wanted to buy an FF and I relied on the reviews that this fantastic machine had got. I was immediately totally happy with the purchase. It is easy to use, it is not heavy, it is made very well and immediately give the certainty of being made with good materials. The colors are really beautiful. I use it especially with the wide-angle for landscape photos and I doubt that, for the price it costs, you can find a machine with better quality'/price. The dynamic range is not equal to modern machines, but when I bought it I was aware of it. I don't think I'm ever going to sell it, if one day I'm going to get you a different reflex like the 5DIV. Fantastic machine that suits perfectly those who want an FF of excellent reliability at a super competitive price. sent on August 23, 2019 |
