Panasonic Lumix G 100-300mm f/4-5.6 II OIS Pros: Price, compactness and weight, tropicalization, sharpness, excellent stabilization with the dual is. Built with quality plastic and fluid ring on the entire excursion. Cons: I own it recently, for now no one. A focus limiter would be useful. Opinion: It is an excellent lens that can easily be carried in the high mountains without the need for a sherpa. Very clear up to 260mm, there is a drop in sharpness to 300mm, is comparable to that of the various lenses 150-600mm for full frame to f8, but remaining at f5.6. The autofocus is quite reactive even on a gx80, in the less contrasted conditions it is hard to hook but I fear depends on the camera, probably on a flagship will be great. Stabilization is excellent, but when you do photo shooting it is good to maintain high security times to avoid camera shake. At 600 mmeq I never get under 1/200, even if on the forum there are sharp shots with much slower times. I totally feel satisfied with the purchase. sent on March 13, 2018 |
Panasonic Lumix G Vario 7-14mm f/4 ASPH Pros: Compactness, weight, beautiful color rendering, clear already at full aperture. Cons: Not tropicalized. Flare always lurking and not always manageable like most of the ultrawide I've had. Opinion: On FF I used sigma 12-24 ii that had created addiction. Turning to m4 / 3 the only goal that could replace it was this. I had to give up 2mm equivalent wide side but in terms of sharpness and colors I made a big step forward. I could also buy the panaleica 8-18 but the mm more and the small size made me prefer. I consider it a definitive perspective for my standards. sent on October 24, 2017 |
Panasonic Leica DG 12-60mm f/2.8-4.0 ASPH OIS Pros: Sharpness even at full opening, flare resistance, weight, impeccable construction. Cons: I do not like the hood lock system. Opinion: I've always had a 24-70 zoom, but with the transition to m4 / 3 I preferred versatility to brightness. The Leica imprint is there and even with the noon sun the colors have never faded. I use it almost always open without loss of quality. Coupled with my gx80 guarantees a good stabilization and I think it will accompany me for many years yet. sent on May 29, 2017 |
Panasonic GX80 / GX85 Pros: Dimensions and weight, photographic quality and video, price, stabilizer that does miracles with dual optics, is fast touch-screen. Cons: Inadequate electronic viewfinder in the sun, little peaking focus, less intuitive menu than canon but just make us habit. Opinion: I replaced my 6d with this camera without regrets. Finally perfect white balance in the room and meter that does not burn high lights. Compared to a full frame it is a "Swiss knife" in the sense that pure file quality is backwards, but in the end its many functions make life easier. With the 6D, the recomposition of the scene was a constant while with the gx80 I focused on with my finger touching the touch screen screen. The face recognition function is also good when focusing on a moving subject. sent on May 29, 2017 |
