nikon_70-200vr_f2-8Nikon AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8 G ED VR

Pros: Robustness, AF, brightness, tropicalization, bokeh

Cons: For my level and aspiration nothing

Opinion: Purchased with swap used at a great price. Despite the age of the lens aesthetically looks good. Very solid, a bit heavy but could not be otherwise seen the materials with which it is built. Excellent manual focus ring, smooth and precise, that of the focal a bit less fluid and less linear towards the extremes, 70mm and 200mm, but by safety anyway. The buttons (AF/M, VR ON/OFF, VR Normal/active, focus limiter) are duretti but precise and safe. Tested in the halls not always well lit (basket). Incredible results (compared to what I could do with the AF-S 70-300 or Col 18-140 or even with the fixed 105mm 2.8). Rapid and precise Autofocus. I managed to shoot smoothly at 1/800s with F/2.8 aperture (or f/3.2) and ISO acceptable to my sensor (with ISO = 2000 in PP increase some exposure without curing too much noise reduction, for ISO from 2500 to 3200 I apply the NR correction). The PDC is fine even with f/2.8 (I was afraid it was too narrow but you can focus on the subjects and with good margin front/rear) and then I take advantage to reduce shutter speeds and freeze movements (the balloon does not travel fast in basketball). On ISO I do not go beyond the values described before otherwise the noise can not handle it adequately. Also tested for birdlife (with obviously not too distant subjects, focal 200mm) and sharpness with extraordinary details. Natural colors not saturated. Blurred for beautiful background. I hardly ever use the VR and therefore it is not a problem the fact that it is first generation. No doubt the best lens I own and paid little indeed. Very satisfied.

tamron_af11-18Tamron AF 11-18mm f/4.5-5.6 SP Di II LD

Pros: Crisp, light, excellent and loyal colors, quality/price ratio

Cons: Nothing or almost

Opinion: Purchased used at a really derisial price compared to the original one (the lens is no longer produced by Tamron). I matched it to a Nikon camera body. The version for this House, compared to the version for Canon, requires a camera body with its own AF motor in order to avoid using the lens with the manual focus. I almost always match it with a D7200. I also have a D5300 and in this case I have to use the manual focus which is really simple view the focal. I'm very happy with the choice. Very high value for money, crisp shots, loyal colors and a corner of the field that allows scenic shots or incredible views for buildings/architectures within walking distance. At the minimum focal length (11mm) You can have a slight loss of sharpness at the edges. The barrel deformation can be easily managed (eye to the tilt position of the chamber), deformation that in some shots can be desired to give a particular effect to the composition. The lens is light but also a bit noisy during the AF in which the ring of the distance reference rotates. The materials are in line with the cost of the target. I like the lens hood with bayonet mount, simple but precise and stable in the seat. I matched a UV filter (mostly for lens protection) from 77mm that integrates perfectly and that does not trouble the insertion of the CAP. One of the possible minus is in the brightness (it's an F/4.5 to 11mm) but honestly for the types of shots that I usually do is not a problem. At most you use the tripod for very slow times when you need more light. Excellent yield and sharpness for openings between F/8 and F/11. A very clear purchase. For me money spent very well. I recommend it.

sigma_150-600cSigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM C

Pros: AF, stabilizer, value for money, mass, finishes, customization with USB dock

Cons: Little or nothing. Improvable bracket, lens hood and lens cap

Opinion: I have this lens for over a year and a half. I am very pleased with its performance. I took some time to be able to use it best since it was my first supertele and before I only had experiences with a 70-300. Great for up to 400mm for photos taken on the fly. Very good at 500mm for static subjects. At 600mm I recommend closing the diaphragm at least to F / 10. Well matched, even in terms of masses and balances, with the D7200. For my experience it suffers from slight overexposure (easily compensated by manual dropping at least one stop, or with settings that have a variable parameter by compensating for -0.3 or -0.7 ev). 2 Kg lens lens mass that is more than acceptable (I did not take the Sport version for its Kg more than for my way of taking is frankly too) .rn Thanks to the USB Dock you can overcome any front problems / Back focus (which I fortunately did not record it on the D7200 or on the D5300 nikon). You can adjust the effect on the stabilizer and above all sI can customize the autofocus speed (fast or slower and more accurate). The AF is more than good. I also like the chromatic aspect. A friend uses this view with Canon 80D and the results are really amazing.rnVoto 10/10 (I'm sorry of my first evaluation, 9/10, made at the beginning of my experience with this goal, a vote recorded on Juzaphoto).
