Nikon FTZ II Pros: Maintains the speed obtained on Reflex (at least on my D7100), allows you to mount many lenses Cons: Many lenses, but not all, or at least not all with all the features Opinion: For what I tried this adapter works very well on my z50. The lenses with which I tried it are the sigma 17-50 f 2.8, sigma 50-150 f2.8 OS HSM, samyang 24mm f 1.4 mf, nikon 35mm dx f 1.8, tokina 11-16 dx f 2.8. It works perfectly on all lenses except for a few things: - The tokina does not autofocus for the simple fact that the adapter does not have the AF motor like the camera body of the D7100 and therefore cannot operate the screw that activates the AF on the lens. - The Samyang cannot be used through the lens aperture ring but only using that of the camera body, which on the D7100 was possible due to the fact that there was a mechanism that communicated mechanically to identify the aperture chosen by hand by the lens. For the rest all the lenses work at the same speed of AF that they had on the D7100 and indeed, they are even better because the focus is more precise P.S. I also tried the sigma 120-400 4.5 - 5.6 but unfortunately I have already struggled to make it work on the D7100 as it requires a firmware on the machine well dated, therefore on the z50 works only in manual focus unfortunately However summing up I would say that it is a fundamental tool for those who come from Nikon SLR like me, I also recommend it instead of the FTZ first version because after several doubts in the end I found the shape of the new version more functional sent on December 09, 2022 |
Nikon AF-S DX 35mm f/1.8 G Pros: Lightness, f / 1.8, focal "standard", full time manual Cons: Sharpening up to f / 2.8 (in comparison photos with my Sigma 17-50 f / 2.8 there is no comparison), not stabilized, there is not a metric indicator for the focus Opinion: Objective purchased mainly for its definitely a good lens maximum aperture f / 1.8rnA utility level, light, compact and economic (is used at affordable prices) .rnLo stabilizer would have been helpful. Good lens typically for the price range, although I must say that if you search for the optical quality, especially in TA this is definitely not the objective that is right for you! Still recommended for the price! sent on October 01, 2016 |
Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 EX DC OS HSM Pros: Sharpness, stabilizer, f / 2.8, fast and quiet AF, quality / price ratio, construction Cons: AF adjustment problems, ring MAF, poor resistance against the light flare Opinion: I bought this lens used 200 euro. The flaws that I found: would require an AF calibration due back focus that occurs especially in low light (various opinions on the internet report testimonies of individuals who suffer from front / back focus besides me). The focus ring is not full time manual and has a very short range, almost unusable in MF (besides the fact that around and you have to be careful not to force it because you can appeal by mistake with the lens) .rnPer the rest nothing to say! I think the best purchase that can be done on a aps-c to replace the classic 18-55, both with regard to the optical quality, both for the fact that the optics is MOOLTO more bright! RnConsigliatissimo! sent on July 18, 2016 |
