Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS II USM Pros: Lightning-fast AF, sharpness, lightness Cons: Missing tripod ring Opinion: I've had and used for years the 70-200 f4 L (non-stabilized), the 70-200 f4 L stabilized first series, 70 200 f2.8 L first series, I think this new lens is the best I've ever had as a 70-200mm. It has incredible sharpness, it's lightweight, it supports 1.4 extenders very well (which the RF doesn't support) that's what decided me, diametre 72mm filters. I use it on R7 and R6II, AF very fast and perfect. For me it was an exchange (RCE) not obvious at the start and once I tried it no regrets. sent on December 07, 2023 |
Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN C Pros: everything that has been written ... Cons: size, weight ... Opinion: taken with a good AZ offer, I had some doubts that disappeared quickly after a few tests, it is sold with hood and is of great workmanship. I use the ef-M version on M6II, I already own the Sigma 56mm and this is not inferior to the contrary ... Great sharpness over the whole frame. It is equivalent to a 25mm, Distortion almost absent, do not use it only for landscapes, it allows almost total use. sent on April 29, 2022 |
Canon RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM Pros: Lightweight, can be used without adapter, accurate and fast AF Cons: price, price and price Opinion: I hesitated a lot since I had the 100-400mm II that I already found perfect, but now this seems better to me. Lighter (those who know me can understand how important some etti can be), 100mm more, perfect AF, precise and very fast, very sharp (even compared to 100-400mmII), excellent stabilization, minimum distance of 90cm at 100mm ... I confirm everything that has already been written ... the price a bit 'exaggerated but in line with other RF ... but for me it is definitive !!!! sent on November 26, 2021 |
7artisans 7.5mm f/2.8 Fisheye Pros: well built, price (120€) Cons: I don't know Opinion: my specimen received from 7artisans of the fish-eye 7.5mm f/2.8 for Eos M, did not focus beyond about 1 mt, up close the photos were perfect but it was not the function I wanted to give it ! ... I'm going to send him back, hoping to get another better checked one. Anyway I'll rewrite my review when I get another one. I got email-assistance from 7artisans and I have to adjust the focus to infinity and .....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UO2wvmQ-s-Q but it didn't work and I sent the lens back ... arrived the new this week tried and that's fine. They have very efficient customer service ! sent on May 07, 2021 |
Canon EOS M6 Mark II Pros: additional features from the M6: spot reading, focus bracketing, better grip, ready jpeg and more that you will find in the description .... Cons: inaccessibility of the battery and board when it is on tripod .... REC button poorly positioned.. Opinion: History: I had the M6 (sold), the 7DII (sold), I thought of the R as the 2nd body ... relativizing my kind of photos (often square and B&W) and above all the current situation, also using a reflex, after reflection I decided for the M6II. I own (thanks Forumers) 22mm, 32mm, 28mm and DC2 plus the adapter of the first M, the more the possibility to use it with EF designed, it becomes perfect for my use. The sensor is the best of itself with EF (L), the image quality is better than the M6 and 7DII, from more details ... Not having the fixed viewfinder frankly is not a problem, I preferred compactness and all the adjustments under my fingers. Very happy with the purchase, after 6 months of use, I confirm that I am always happier with my choice. sent on May 16, 2020 |
