sony_rx100_vSony RX100 V

Pros: The photos he makes, EVF (for those few times I will use it)

Cons: Menu (Bad), ergonomics (poor even for the category), keys (too small), display in selfie mode, price

Opinion: I was looking for a compact to carry around with practicality and lightness to resume those extemporaneous moments in which I did not find myself behind the reflex (left at home because too heavy, cumbersome or just inappropriate in a given context) and for which at the end I used the phone (that is that we always have it with us). Just proved I was immediately amazed by the details, definition and sharpness of his shots. Then I compared her for a whole day with the Canon G7X. How much I liked that Canon!!! What difference!!! The menu, the ergonomics, the touchscreen (with excellent sensitivity), the display screen that when you use it in selfie mode is not covered by the camera body and continues to show the indications of shutter... and many other pros compared to Sony. But in the end what counts is the output, the image that produces the compact... and on this the RX100, for me, won 10 to 1 on the Canon. All (only) this! Images that sometimes (often) failed to pull out even with the 6d with the Sigma Art or the Tamron G2. Amazing! But how many expletives on his tiny keys or his menu maze or when he slips from his hands and you can not find a way to keep it steady... Bleah! But when you look at his shots: STOP! Do not think about nothing else and look at the crop to 200% with a sneer of full satisfaction (ah, I have not yet had the need to use it but.... has an excellent electronic viewfinder)

tamron_24-70_f2-8vc_g2Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2

Pros: F2,8 on the whole focal length, constructive rnQuality, rnTropicalization, rnStabilization.rn

Cons: F / B focus, rnweight, rnDimensions, rnParaluce.

Opinion: A few years ago I owned the G1 version of this zoom; sold when I realized that the f / b focus was not compensable with the fine adjustment of the sw of the SLR (Canon 6D). After him I took the Sigma Art 50mm that (after having adjusted the f / b focus with the dock!) Has always given me great satisfaction, with the only drawback of the fixed focal (which limits a lot of pò - what do you say? - the creative possibility in the composition). As soon as I heard of the output of this Tam G2 (with the possibility to adjust, with the appropriate dock, any errors of f / b focus) I did not think a moment: I sold the Sigma and I took this - complete Tap-in for the correction and updating of the FW. I was hoping the fire was okay from the beginning but ... disappointment, it was macroscopically starved. Assisted by Focal for the calibration, I applied the correction through the Tap-in. Result: fire ..... almost acceptable. This imperfection, in my opinion, kneads very much the details in the photos at the shorter focal lengths (from24 to 50). For the rest I notice a certain vignetting and a very slight distortion at 24mm. Then nothing to say about the construction that, to the touch, appears very robust! Other points to its detriment are weight and size. The balance between pros and cons, to be honest, does not make me reach full satisfaction (especially in comparison with Sigma Art). Advise him? I do not know, depends on how important are the elements that I have mentioned above: accuracy of the fucus, portability, dimensions. PS: I do not hide that I have already done some thoughts on its sale.
