canon_rf15-35_f2-8Canon RF 15-35mm f/2.8 L IS USM

Pros: Everything but cost and weight

Cons: Weight in the first place, price (obviously as an absolute value, not in relation to quality)

Opinion: A few years ago I went from apsc to FF.... With this passage I had lost the habit of "light". The 2.8 is a pleasure, fast focus, stellar quality, incredible sharpness, little distortion and vignette pulls practically absent. Even shooting "in a hurry" is difficult to miss the shot. But it is the comment of a "country" amateur.

samyang_af85_f1-4feSamyang AF 85mm f/1.4 FE/RF

Pros: Weight quality price

Cons: Not very incisive - very slow autofocus

Opinion: Maybe the specimen in my possession has some problems but the autofocus seems to me very slow especially at TA with scars light. Little definition. Blurry of good level, soft and pasty, definitely not sharp and decisive. Right focal length for narrow portraits in the studio or outside. Less convincing indoors..... but I'm not an expert

meike_50_f1-2Meike 50mm f/1.2

Pros: Cost - weight - practicality

Cons: Hood - no autofocus

Opinion: I'm just an enthusiast but, this lens (FF version for RF mount) made me discover the world of portraiture. I can no longer detach it from my eosR. Probably very soft but that's what I look for when I use it... never money spent better (eos R aside). The blurred is pasty, round, soft. The hood uncomfortable, plastic, delicate: not at the level. The autofocus would have made it perfect.
