Pros: Size (ça va sans dire), design, general construction, many functions that do not regret those of a mid-level SLR.

Cons: Delicate flash pop-up mechanism, although very useful and efficient. For the rest, a compact with all the characteristics of a minimal machine with great potential. It is a good challenge for those who are used to more complex systems (nb. not complicated ...). It can be very irritating or very "restful", depending on the user.

Opinion: I took this machine to have a little demanding and even less bulky contraption, for better quality fotine than those of my mobile phone. I was not wrong, very funny and if necessary I screw the Manfrotto tripod and go self-timer. The flash defends itself well, even in "rear" mode for moderate macros; it's just a little delicate (a bit much). Care must be taken when pushing it into its housing after use. The machine fits perfectly in the palm of your hand, a glove. Having a mobile phone not very performing and now antiquo I installed an old version of the application necessary for transferring photos via Wi-Fi. A bit cumbersome (to be honest not even so much, there is worse ..), but it works. With newer mobile phones and apps, the user experience will certainly be better. The removable viewfinder is very small, but it could not be otherwise. I also like to use it in manual, with some care and with a little patience. The risk of blur is perpetually lurking. The automatisms work properly. Someone says that this machine is slow ... mah, it may be, but it is not that one buys it to freeze the take-off of a duck at the first light of dawn or the peach of the Martin ....

Pros: Dimensions, functions absolutely equal to a SLR, solid and well-kept construction, aesthetically beautiful.

Cons: Maybe the battery, although I don't think it's poorer than others of the same category.

Opinion: I recently sold my brand new Lx100II, with death in my heart. An aesthetically delicious and functionally valuable machine, really a mini reflex. Unfortunately I found it very uncomfortable, I did not know where to put my hands, everything perfect, but everything Lilliputian. Too big for a casual use of compact, too small for a careful and reasoned use that, too, allows you to do. Really very nice files, some chromatic aberration, but everything quickly solvable. I couldn't even get used to the electronic viewfinder. Seen at home, on the monitor, the files were beautiful, but during use I just could not appreciate them. After a few hundred test rows to the cat, the dog, the parrots, the canaries, the bookshelf, the magnets on the refrigerator and the balcony plants I said enough. I had taken it for a matter of speed of shooting and handling, but, perhaps too accustomed to the SLR, I did not get neither this nor that. My fault. If what you are looking for is a simple point and shoot, but of a certain caliber, at this point, I think it may be better the fuji xf10 or the ricoh grII or III. Otherwise the Lx100II can really be the perfect machine. Unfortunately not for me.
