genesis_c5Genesis C5

Pros: Lightness, height, material quality

Cons: Head ball in kit not quite excellent, bubble lack on body, lack hook without center column

Opinion: Bought for 240 euros in kits on Amazon and using a Chinese carbon tripod the comparison was clear. But it was when I made a comparison with my trusty Manfrotto 055xprob that I was surprised. Taller, lighter, diameters of larger stems... in a SHOW word! In the use I noticed some gaps: - the ball head is not really precise and when you try a composition at the time of tightening a few mm you lose it, but knowing the defect you just need to compose a few mm on and then have what you want to get (or ltremodo is still replaceable) - it lacks a bubble on the body of the tripod and for a time I looked for something that could fill that gap and in the end I opted for an adapter for tilting column (in the panoramas I like to be perfectly in bubble and so not I have to play with my legs, but directly with the head and I do even before) - missing a hook or a clip (I was used to hanging the remote control to the clip of the Manfrotto and here completely misses the hook if as me disassembled the central column, but I made a lace co n a musket to work around the problem)

sony_a7Sony A7

Pros: Sensor, weight, solid construction despite its size, file RAW lavorabilissimo, customization

Cons: monitor quality, battery drain, some obvious features "purchased" via app

Opinion: D ravanare menus have been negatively surprised to not find some obvious things present in all cameras, see for example the timed shooting + bracket, or choose one or choose the other ... the ability to set the sequence of the bracket, in This will decide the sequence of exposures, or even the number of bracketing shots. I know, this camera has a sensor that will make you forget the double exposures, but did not understand what it cost to Sony enter these options in the menu until you have not landed on PlayMemories Store ... where buying at prices ranging from 4.99 to 9.99 all the things listed are present in the app that Sony sells. I see brands such as Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Fuji really make a "snapshot", instead I see Sony as a company that produces technology, and things are very different and distant. For the moment I feel very satisfied, it is definitely not the ultimate camera, as it has been for me the 7D, but we'll see.

sigma_150_macroSigma 150mm f/2.8 EX DG HSM Macro

Pros: sharpness, optical performance, risolvenza, excellent quality / price ratio

Cons: no ...

Opinion: Using this lens mainly for macro, so that it has a slow af (which mark the proper range is not) and has no stabilization is not a big problem. Taking my macro always on a tripod and remote shutter release, and gave me some satisfaction unparalleled. The focal length is perfect for aps-c bodies and for the kind of love that macro shooting, the subject crisp and beautiful wallpapers sfocatissimi! : D

sigma_10-20_f4-5Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM

Pros: sharpness, very good resistance to flare, ac non-existent distortions only in extreme cases

Cons: dim

Opinion: I use it for over a year with great satisfaction and it struck me very positively. At the time of purchase candidates were Tamron 10-24 (discarded because faint and not very resistant to flare), Sigma 8-16 (discarded because of the inability to mount filters) Sigma 10-20, Canon 10-22 and Tokina 11-16. I was very keen for the Tokina, its brightness made me very throat, especially for night photography, but eventually reading the various reviews I chose this lens. The only thing that really blame the poor is the maximum brightness of f4 ... for the rest only PRO!

canon_450dCanon 450D

Pros: sensor, light

Cons: body too minute (I had to buy a battery grip to be able to challenge the best), high iso noise, lack of rear collar

Opinion: I've used it for two good years and I still use today as a second body, and I must say that I'm not regretting the 7D. Files are flexible and workable, the only real drawback is the noise at high ISO ... in 1600 (its maximum) is obvious, but it goes away with a few clicks. The screen, of course, after seeing what the 7D is lower, but still good.

canon_7dCanon 7D

Pros: Resolution, AF, Burst, Screen, Live View shooting with silent

Cons: performance at high ISO

Opinion: I bought the 7D in October last year, after two years experience with a Canon 450D. The leap from 450D to 7D was impressive, professional body, burst monstrous, even the shutter sound was fantastic compared to the 450D. Using it in time, I realized that it is a reflex exceptional, even if the sensor is quite busy and quite noisy, to be honest, I have not seen many improvements over the 450D in terms of noise at high ISO. I would have preferred 2mpx less, but more than a cleaning and etching exceeded 1600. The rest is a machine which I highly recommend.
