canon_fd50_f1-8sc_iiCanon FD 50mm f/1.8 S.C. (II)

Pros: Super cheap and easy to find, sharp enough

Cons: Quite "ordinary", does not have much character, is not super sharp at TA

Opinion: Lens to be considered as the current kits, nothing exceptional, but it allows you to make good shots. In analog much better than in digital. In digital I have also discovered that the focus to infinity is not exactly at the end of the race, but slightly before. But it is definitely due to the adapter. Basically, if found at little (less than 40 euros including shipping), you can also take it.

canon_efs_55-250_v2Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS II

Pros: Good sharpness at a fairly low price and weight.

Cons: Lens that rotates with focus (no cpl), not very fast focus, plastic bayonet, only for APS-C

Opinion: Used socket lens, paid for less than 100 coffees with attached warranty. I needed to complete my optical park for APS-C with a canvas, which would more or less meet two requirements: IS and low price. Found the offer I was talking about at the beginning, I decided, although honestly some doubt I had: I read a little everywhere of a chasm that should exist between this lens and its next version, the STM. I say that I have never touched the latter, but the IS II version has absolutely astounded me in terms of sharpness at all focal lengths. I was more or less expecting a continuation of my lens kit (just the 18-55 IS II), in terms of quality, and instead just not. Even at 250mm you can bring home more than good results, even at full size (which is 5.6 anyway). Of course, it suffers from all the cons that I have listed, which are basically the main ones that I have identified after using it 3 or 4 times (I refer to the slow maf), but in my way of seeing the pros weigh absolutely more. I recommend absolutely for amateur use (which is more or less what I do), not suitable for birds or to resume very dynamic subjects.

canon_efs24stmCanon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM

Pros: Compactness&weight, sharpness, price

Cons: Well it depends, for what it costs and represents I would say no one, maybe bokeh not very pleasant

Opinion: Taken used to a ridiculous figure (but on average it is still around 90/100 euri), it satisfied my need to be able to ride in practice everywhere with a light and above all not flashy lens. My 1300D with this pancake almost looks like a compact, so much so that I almost miss being able to support the reflex while maintaining the lens, which could represent a more serious lack if mounted on larger machine bodies, such as a 7D. It's very sharp already at f2.8, at f4 it's a blade. What to say, the focal length is quite standard (38mm equivalent FF), I do everything, or almost (I tend to avoid portraits, which I find a bit distorted - I prefer different focal lengths - and with a bokeh effect a bit too nervous). Great for street and landscapes, in the evening/night I would prefer to use a faster lens. Clearly not to be used in MF: just thinking about turning that mini-dial makes me jump my nerves, but after all the strength of the lens is just that (the compactness, including the dial). Ultimately, grade 9: If you're looking for a compact lens to carry around, mounted or in your pocket, it's the best purchase you can make.

tamron_sp90macro_vcTamron SP 90mm f/2.8 Di VC USD Macro

Pros: Phenomenal Sharpness and Autofocus

Cons: Nothing

Opinion: I'll say I use it on APS-C. I've had many goals (nothing so expensive..), and I assure you that none of these comes to the sharpness of this tamron. A blade also in TA. Closing slightly becomes even sharper than a blade. I use it mainly for portraits and landscapes, the more I use it and the more I love it. The thing that really strikes you is that you never throw away a shot, ever. Hyper-precise focus, sharpness, as already said, always at the top, in short the photo you can throw it only because of the subject. On APS-C it's a medium canvas, so you have to move a lot, but I prefer these medium-long focals that carry nice compression. I practically "stole" it on ammazzonn, but I think it's worth the price it costs, if not more.
