Nikon Z 24-120mm f/4 S Pros: He does a bit of everything and does it very well, perhaps one of the best all-rounders in the market, pleasant bokeh Cons: Stabilization?, price Opinion: A lens that almost makes a kit. Lens that completes any kit, from landscaping to other genres. It allows you to cover from wide angle to medium telephoto with excellent image quality. Already at f4 it has an excellent yield, with a pleasant bokeh for portraits. The stabilization is missing but most likely would have further weighed down the optics, which goes well with the Z6 and Z7. New is not super cheap if you find it used or in kit is a bargain. sent on January 26, 2023 |
Nikon Z 14-30mm f/4 S Pros: Compactness, sharpness, filterable, focal ranges Cons: Collapsible, price Opinion: Intelligent and well-reasoned optics. A lens that for its use covers most of the needs of a landscape photographer. I would like to have a fixed 14 f1.8 to make astro sooner or later from nikon for attack Z away mirage. Made more than excellent even on the edges does not disfigure at all compared to its older brother 14-24 f2.8 which costs almost double. Filterable even with circular filters, which is very rare on such a wide angle. Construction with modern and valuable plastics. Compact and lightweight. A small miracle of optical engineering. I do not like the unlock for the use of the optics I find it a bit cheap. Overall an excellent glass that I would recommend to those who arrive of the Z system. Today's price a bit expensive € 200 less than price lists would be the right value. sent on January 26, 2023 |
Venus Laowa 12mm f/2.8 Zero-D Pros: Optical yield from F4, construction, almost zero distortions, possibility of mounting 100 plate filters, angle of view, backlight resistance Cons: Vignetting, soft TA on the edges, lack of exif data, not tropicalized, price a bit 'high. Opinion: Taken to go to Iceland to photograph the Northern Lights. A little soft at TA suffers from like, and astigmatism. It opens new horizons in terms of composition in architecture and landscape photography. It is not an easy lens to know how to enhance at first glance, but that with due care gives great satisfaction. It is a totally manual optics, it forces you to work often on the tripod to a more reasoned type of photography, which I personally appreciate. Diaphragm from F5.6 to F13 is a blade. Another positive side is the possibility of putting dedicated Holders with 100mm plates. The construction is solid in metal too bad it is not tropicalized. The dials are pleasant and with the right friction. For the price for which it is proposed, tropicalization would have made it almost perfect. To be such a wide angle it has an excellent resistance in backlight, always with due care. sent on January 26, 2023 |
Nikon Z6 II Pros: Image quality, high iso seal, ergonomics, burst, build quality, viewfinder Cons: Autofocus not at the level of the competition for the moment, lack of advanced functions (pixel shift, live composite ....), lack of a fleet of third-party optics as an alternative, good battery but not excellent. Opinion: I wanted to go back to Nikon without selling myself a kidney. After 3 months to take the right confidence I can say that it is an excellent car, it reminds me of the D750 if it gets by in everything but does not excel in something in particular. In a nutshell a great all-rounder. Excellent file quality, even at high iso it behaves well. In terms of construction and ergonomics, Nikon still makes schools to the competition. More than good burst for the price range of the product. Non-performing autofocus at Sony and Canon levels in tracking modes. Battery good but not top. As already written by someone in the other reviews (Lespauly) the lack of computational functions in 2022 with the current technology a live composite / pixel shift would have been welcome. Who knows that with a firmware before the release of the next model they can at least fill the gaps in the autofocus. sent on July 12, 2022 |
Panasonic Leica DG 8-18mm f/2.8-4.0 ASPH Pros: Construction, yield to all focal points, tropicalization, accepts screw filters (67mm) Cons: Price, f 2.8 only to 8 mm (16 mm) is as if it were a fixed f 4, it is addictive Opinion: After a year of use I have trouble removing it from my G9. For the mciro 4/3 system is a must have. Excellent yield at all focal points, impressive flare and ghost seal. Excellent tropicalization I found myself around with the rain never had any problems. The predisposition to 67mm screw filters takes away Holder's undersle and slabs to carry with you. High price but quality pays for it. It is considered a constant f 4, f 2.8 only to 8 mm (16 mm). sent on September 21, 2020 |
