nikon_50_f1-4gNikon AF-S 50mm f/1.4 G

Pros: Brightness, sharpness, size and weight

Cons: Autofocus a bit 'slow, in certain situations a bit' long on APS-C

Opinion: Using this lens on APS-C and gave me great satisfaction especially indoors or photos "on the fly" granddaughter. On these occasions I could appreciate the brightness (and the sharpness at RT) and accuracy dell'autofocus.rnViceversa I was not really at ease in using "tourism" where the focal I was often a bit 'long and the fixed focus a bit 'limitante.rnComplessivamente, given the price is not exaggerated, I think the perspective "must have", useful in many occasions, pleasant to use and qualitatively very valida.rn

sigma_10-20_f4-5Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM

Pros: Angle of view, value for money, 77mm filter

Cons: Low light, with only 6 aperture blades.

Opinion: The focal range covered is very intriguing and interesting compositions allows especially in the countryside. The lens is not particularly bright, but the scenery is usually not a big problem, but the range of focal lengths today might not seem extreme, but over the competitors this perspective presents a great value for money. If I were to buy it today probably would estimate also the main competitors sigma 8-16 (focal extreme), sigma 10-20 f3.5 (brighter) or nikkor 10-24 (zoom largest and most noble brand), but these other cases would come to spend more to get more or less the same results. Interestingly, filter diameter 77mm to 82mm more common than the sigma 10-20 f3, 5, while I find a shame the diaphragm only 6 blades. Construction EX in my opinion qualitatively valid, but the optical quality can be easily verified by looking at all the photos taken with this lens are also on this site.

nikon_18-55dx_vrNikon AF-S DX 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 G VR

Pros: Compactness, light weight, cost, VR

Cons: Excursion, materials, lighting, focus ring

Opinion: It 'was the first lens of my first DSRL. I've always found very precise as AF and sharp results. When no light is a great goal, and when there is a little 'less light the VR behaves quite well. Having now more performative goals (and cost multiple) I can say that the AF is a bit 'slow and the little light limits the ability to play with the depth of field. The diameter 52 allows you to use filters "less" expensive and bulky 77mm required by the optical pro. But the real limitation that I find this point of view is the manual focus, the ring is really too small and does not allow easy manual adjustment.
