Tamron 15-30mm f/2.8 VC USD Pros: Built like a tank, nice contrast, precise autofocus, stabilizator and nice handling. Cons: Risk to loose lens cap after some time when internal material will become thinner because of friction. Bulbous front element requires safe use and avoiding dropping - plastic fantastic :) No cheap filter system, at least for now. Weight is not a problem - I often have Canon 5D II + Sigma 70-200 F2.8 (1.4 kg) on my neck for all day... Opinion: After long use of two fixes ( Samyang 14 F2.8 and Zeiss 35 F2.0 ) I am feeling like i get more freedom :) Nice contrast and sharpness, VC allows exposure 1/6 sec on 15 mm from hand. Samy 14 goes for temporary rest and will go to another enthusiast soon. Tamy does not have distracting corner deformation as Samyang though field of view is smaller. For now I am in love with this big beast :) sent on November 16, 2015 |
