fujifilm_s7000Fujifilm FinePix S7000

Pros: Pro: Fantastic optical zoom, 3.3fps burst, never misses a shot, digital zoom capability without losing too much quality. Double SD / Fuji.Olympus slot. Great ergonomics. Mitica 6Mpx / 12Mpx interpolated and you see all (for the era). RAW that at that time was an almost strange, but that faded. Power supply with 4 AA batteries that you can buy in any supermarket. Excellent construction materials, after 14 years seems still new.

Cons: Unfortunately, you can mount up to 2GB of SD card, and 1Gb (find it) of its propagation (Fuji / Olympus), enough for an exaggerated output (in RAW). For the rest NULL. To use it, it's best to memorize all the major functions by heart. I do not shoot movies, I think it's a huge limit of 30 seconds of shooting, but there was a law that prevented cameras from overcoming this limit (today it's 30 minutes). Power supply with 4 AA batteries and must be replaced at each output, forget the rechargeable.

Opinion: First serious digital, after four analogs and some digital pocket pocket. I never repented, indeed. I have always kept it with care and I still have the use of it as a third body to always carry with me and it seems new again. Occasionally I use it with satisfaction and I enjoy it so much. Still today does not fade with the mirrorless of its price range.

sigma_120-400osSigma 120-400mm f/4.5-5.6 DG OS HSM

Pros: Well done. Good quality, sharpness up to 300 then close one stop and is perfect. Easy to use, very quiet. I have the A-mount version and (fantastic) I also have my stabilizer, so I can choose whether to use his or her car body. MAF fast but if I limit it from the car body A99 it becomes a lightning strike.

Cons: A bit heavy but 1.7Kg and 0.8 of a total machine 2.5Kg., If you think weighs just like a Sigma 150-500. All in all bearable. Zoom clutch a little soft, with shoulder strap in the travel tends to stretch if not stuck to 120mm.

Opinion: Taken used at 271 €, it has given me very good results (you know when you take it right away) I did not even make microregulation (which I will definitely), silent and sharp, if it closes 1 or 2 stop at all focal points. Compared with a Sony 70 / 300G (which I did not like but maybe my defective) and with a SP70 / 300USD Tamron (very good if closed at f8), a Sigma 170-500 (sold immediately) .RAGGED ON 21- 09-2017: rnMicroregolato to +5 I would say it is perfect, great for birdlife as well. Not even too heavy for hand photo of flying birds. I use it to F11 and ISO1600, perfect for SONY, when you turn on the machine with the lens mounted, activates the lens stabilizer (that of the machine must be activated), not before it does not work properly in combination with the internal one to the car body.rn

tamron_70-300vcTamron SP 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di VC USD

Pros: Great construction quality, fiery focus on the Alpha A99 with the active autofocus limiter. Very clear from f8 onwards.

Cons: NOTHING.

Opinion: Paid 190 euros used but as new. I immediately got feeleng, I immediately sucked it over 220 mm. You have to close at f8 and at 300, even if you use it with sharp images (but it is quite normal with almost all optics). Many complain about the slow MAF, it will be that I have a lucky specimen, I do not have this problem, I expect to use it on a FF SONY A99 which has as standard the focus limiter that narrows the field a lot and allows it to focus Fulminea. Slight enough, the hood, is a little bulky but it's from that "long" touch that does not hurt at all. I've had both the small 70-300 little brother and the SAM 70-300G who did not give me the same satisfaction and I paid him more than twice used. I really recommend it, not suitable for small bird life (for that there is 150-600) unless it's really close, but with large birds, flying is a show. Absolutely to have for street and tourism photos. My version is SONYAnd does not have the stabilizer as it is in the car, will that work that well?

sony_28-75_f2-8samSony 28-75mm f/2.8 SAM

Pros: Pretty light, fast enough, great brightness, af / 4 and perfect. Blocking the transport lens (does not stretch alone). Petal hood, bayonet clasp. Real-strength construction and excellent in motion. I did not notice vignetting either in TA or FF.

Cons: Very difficult to find it used in perfect condition, I found it in England at 350 Euros as ex. showcase. It does not reach 24mm but 28 to 75mm, and is already a good fit. At the extremes it loses its hair but is negligible. A 28 has a lightweight barrel effect, but if you activate the correction (in the ALPHA A99 it is possible) it corrects itself. On the ALPHA A65 is a strange 42-110 measure and of course 42 the barrel effect is totally negligible.

Opinion: An excellent handyman, not exaggerated in size and weight. Perfect with the GN56 flash on ALPHA A99. To get the best you have to close af / 4, but already af / 2.8 is more than acceptable. If you do not have the 24-70mm Zeiss Sonnar in the budget, it's a great compromise. At the extremes it loses its hair but is negligible. 28mm has a lightweight barrel effect, but if you enable the correction (in A99 it is possible) it corrects itself. On the A65 is a strange 42mm-110mm measure and of course 42mm the barrel effect is totally negligible. I add: I searched for the pile in the egg, considering the cost and the plastics that all (or almost) this goal plays in the final champions league, and if you play it all. At the bottom it is always a constant 2.8.

sony_slt_a99Sony SLT-A99

Pros: Anyway, I would particularly mention the electronic viewfinder (The only Pro reflex to have it) that is not small, see the photo before and not after. Wide choice between Minolta and Sony. Zeiss optics.

Cons: No one in particular. Battery life. Adding ... Fixed with the BatteryGrip.

Opinion: Used socket (as well as the "old" A77), change the optics from APS to FF. Time two exits to get feeling (but not much, is identical to A77). Updated firmware (but never does anyone?). Care must be taken to adjust the micro-regulation of the targets. And then ... I have to say that it's precise in everything, especially in focus. There's a good ergonomics, the few things you can do can be programmed on the keys that are under your fingers. The only defect, if defect might be, is the battery life, but I always go with spare parts in the bag (like all serious photographers). Add: bought battery pack, solved the problem of battery life. FANTASTIC button that allows you to adjust the focus range on any lens, you get a MAF (if properly adjusted) immediate.

minolta_80-200_f2-8gMinolta AF 80-200mm f/2.8 HS-APO G

Pros: I own the version marked "G" which arrived on the same goal, a year later. Excellent at all openings in perfect f4, fast enough, it seems the cannon of the Tiger tank.

Cons: Only the weight and the fact that the tripod socket too close to the lens barrel does not allow to use the protective socks (the mimetic to understand).

Opinion: Bought as a joke, found in excellent condition, I gave back a Sony 70-300mm f / 4.5-5.6 G SSM, and I took this (almost at the same price) at the same time the acquisition of Minolta SLR Autofocus AF500. I gained a lot in brightness and also a lot in defining (the SSM 220 to 300 was so-so), I lost in length, but with the AF500 I solved. Fully open is definitely acceptable at all focal lengths, of course it is great to f4, and f8 in a Katana, I think it's the best you could wish for, definitely like the Nikon 70-200 f2.8 VR (which costs 2 times much), even to put near the Sigma 70-200 f2.8 (a paperweight) .rnConsigliato those who do not want to spend so much exaggeration but still claims, the only problem ... in trovarlo.rn

minolta_500reflexMinolta AF Reflex 500mm f/8

Pros: Lightweight, rugged, AUTO FOCUS (is the only one in the world) .rnSulla Alpha A99 is perfect.

Cons: No, if we want to nitpick, is not an OSS that is slightly slower to focus.

Opinion: I state that I do not work for National Geographic. Were two years that I was looking for, possibly NEW and possibly below 300 Euro. OK again found and paid 230 + 10 shipping. In the two years of research, I switched from the A77 to the A99, I regret not having tried it with A77 (a 750 mm to 650 grams ....). The A99 is perfectly at ease. I'd say we're in a backpack along with the Minolta 80 / 200f2.8 at SAM28 / 75f2,8 standards, the Sigma 17 / 35f2.8 / 4 and Sigma 105f2.8 Macro, and Flash SONY GN56, 6 kg all. rnSTRACONSIGLIATO especially for cervicale.rnHo since 10/10 because it is the only auto-focus quality catadioptric. For the lucky owners of SONY.rnrnAggiungo: Purchased an A65, now I try to APSC with the focal length to 750mm. I have just the public material.
