La val Buscagna, immensa e affascinante, è uno degli ambienti tipicamente alpini del Parco ideali per la fauna (stambecco, camoscio, marmotta, lepre, ermellino, gallo forcello, tritone alpestre, rana temporaria, civetta capogrosso, gufo reale e varie specie di uccelli nidificanti) con vaste praterie subalpine, distese di rododendri e mirtilli e boschi di larici che assumono in autunno splendide colorazioni.
