Hi folks, I hope everyone else is doing very well! :) Here's a 130 shot stack of a dead Hoverfly (that I found already dead on the windowsill, I don't kill insects for this or any similar pic), I used a Canon 5d2, Tamron 180mm macro lens, extension tubes and a reversed Nikon 50mm...plus focus rail, work bench, reflectors etc. I hope this shot is still OK for the macro section?...it's clearly a set up shot of a dead insect, but it's not a man made subject...so I hope it's ok?...think of it as more of a study of an insect, rather than the preferred live and free variety.......after all, it would otherwise have just been put in the rubbish bin :-) Thanks for looking my friends, cheers! ;)

Wow, Steve, this is wonderful! 130 shots!!! You have both patience and skill. I've never tried stacking, but you make me want to learn. What software do you use? Is it hard to do? I appreciate your disclaimer acknowledging it was a dead insect, and IMO if you do that it is perfectly o.k. Keep them coming my friend.
