Manca tutto: l'ambientazione (una staccionata non e' un gran che); la posa (ti da' le spalle); una luce favorevole (qui e' troppo dura); una bella inquadratura (uccello molto centrale e ripreso dall'alto, con spazio dietro anziche' nella direzione dello sguardo ecc...). Inoltre anche la specie e' molto comune, quindi la foto non ha neppure un interesse da un punto di vista ornitologico.

Lorenzo, l'inquadratura non è un granchè, ho scattato al volo ed è una delle poche foto decenti (otticamente) che ho scattato con questo obbiettivo. Secondo me l'ambientazione c'è, una staccionata anche se limitata fornisce un'ambientazione ben precisa, altri elementi sarebbero stati di disturbo, la composizione ahime manca totalmente, c'è solo la diagonale della staccionata, ma non è niente in confronto a quello che potevo fare; il fatto è questo, come tutti, penso, se ti capita un animale vicino, cerchi prima di scattare una foto per dire: l'ho fotografato, dopo di che si cerca una composizione degna del soggetto e all'altezza del fotografo. Ecco questo può succedere sempre, tranne quando il soggetto, impaurito o intimidito se ne va subito, questo è quello che è successo. Sicuramente se fosse rimasto lì dov'era avrei scattato diversamente, con un altra prospettiva ed angolazione, in verticale, o mettendo l'uccellino sulla destra. Chi lo sa? :)

Per quanto riguarda la specie comune o meno, penso che il discorso muore lì, il fatto che sia un Merlo o un Gipeto, una lumaca o un lombrico, nessun animale è più degno di essere fotografato di un altro, (può essere più o meno impegnativo, divertente, etc). Il soggetto non deve suscitare per forza interesse ornitologico, certo, sarei felice se fosse sempre così, darebbe più soddisfazioni, ma non leva che questa foto non me ne dia, poi può interessare o no, ma non siamo su un forum di ornitologi, penso :)

Sono d'accordo con te sulla "frenesia" di fotografare un uccello. Dopotutto io sono prima birdwatcher e poi fotografo e, se guardi nella mia galleria,troverai foto di uccelli che non sono per niente belle; appunto perché, la maggior parte delle volte, mi basta avere un documento dell'incontro anziché una foto bella . Però tu la foto l'hai postata qui, quindi io, nel commentarla, devo partire dal presupposto che per te sia una foto venuta bene. E quindi ho provato a darti il mio punto di vista
Poi. Hai ragione a dire che anche una staccionata è un'ambientazione. E questo vale soprattutto per i passerotti, uccelli che vivono a stretto contatto con l'uomo, che quindi ritratti su un manufatto umano ci possono anche stare (ma ci starebbe anche un uccello che l'uomo non l'ha mai visto, se il fotografo fosse in grado con la foto di sottolineare l'incongruenza...). Sono stato chiaramente troppo sintetico (scusa  ), ma pensavo più che altro alla posizione della staccionata nella foto, che la taglia quasi come una riga verticale, mentre si sarebbe piaciuta più obliqua.
Per finire, il fatto dell'interesse della specie. Anche qui hai ragione, questo non è un forum di fotografia. Ma quando una foto a un passerotto viene definita "bella cattura", almeno due righe sul fatto che come cattura non sia il massimo lasciamele scrivere
