The next 48 hours the UK is forecast to have the worst winter weather for 'a long time'.

Looking back to July last year, to a memorable long train journey to cosmopolitan seaside Brighton, this assault of poor quality, all unoriginal "art" (known as the Rock Star Mural) is strictly for the overseas tourists who spill out of the railway station, just 200m behind me. The mural also spreads out on both sides of my tall image.

But, it certainly is a colourful assault and naturally the photographer would try to get a snap of it.

It is rush hour, where everyone is walking (or cycling etc) to work and were always getting in my way. I was keen to get the guy scrolling through his smartphone updates and I didn't want him to look up and walk off.

The sun is rising behind the building and so, normal metering had to be opened up by +1.7 stops to compensate, which washed out some colours towards the top of the building slightly. (Added contrast and saturation added to these parts in editing).

I took a few other shots, zoomed in, but they all seemed to awkwardly crop out some famous face or another. I also had to correct the lens' barrel distortion and as I shot at angle, I tried to correct that too.

SO, my image is as every bit as poor as the "artwork" on display but, sure, in the depths of -5 celsius temperatures right now, it packs a wow factor colourful punch. But, if I don't post it, you won't see it!! Simple as that!

Rame - I explained all in my text (1st comment), I was there back in July. I try to get to Brighton (about 80kms by trains) about every 18 months or so. On the News today, there was very rare snow on the beach - and yes, swimmers in the sea. Thank you!

Beautiful Timk, the contrast of the days ns. brought to excess; a world of phantasmagorical art behind us and we reduce slaves to an empty cell phone. It 'an image that drags you in with its protagonists and its colors.
All my compliments
Hi Stefano
