Hurricane Ophelia, the nearest to ever lie from the UK and especially Ireland, yesterday, created a very weird, dark, yellow-brown red hue and the sun (when it occasionally managed to break through the heavy cloud) glowed a bright red, though it was near midday!

Officially, this was due to the Storm sucking up and blowing Saharan dust and sand and also smog from the fires in Portugal and Spain. It was all WEIRD!

The Quay area, here, flooded, but not with seawater, but freshwater. See where the benches are and the tiled area in the foreground.

The swans and pigeons (mostly) refused to fly or go anywhere. The swans were happy to preen, just a metre away from me, this is ultrawide 10mm on DX!

It was surprisingly calm at this point, the winds really picked up a few hours later.

Colours have not been exaggerated, though I did use a graduated grey filter, to even out the exposure in sky and ground areas.

WEIRD!

Very nice, a very well maintained first floor and a beautiful atmosphere. Raddrizzerie is a bit the horizon.
