"That's Not My Shadow!" sent on March 11, 2017 (18:26) by Timk2. 23 comments, 1466 views. [retina]

at 300mm, 1/200 f/20.0, ISO 250, hand held. Bristol, United Kingdom.

I have been very aware that all my recent seem to have been in colour! Whilst in Bristol on Thursday, I tried out a very nice, £1200 almost new Nikkor 70-200mm f2.8 VRII from a camera shop - NOT that I was going to buy it, of course! Whilst out in the street outside frantically trying to find quick subjects to snap with it, I spotted this old stone fellow looking rather surprised! But his shadow was of a ballustrade from a different building. The Nikkor even at 200mm was not long enough to isolate him so after I made my excuses in the shop and getting my 70-30mm Tamron back, I then re shot him, properly. You could say that even a cropped 200mm from the Nikkor Pro lens would be better than that of the Tamron but for this, I really stopped the Tamron down, to make the shadow clearer. #BlackAndWhite

Are you sure that's a balustrade? I reckon it's a crocodile.... or maybe a dragon! Whatever it is, it makes for a great image, Tim!
