Hi Alepou! Thank you so much for your in depth comment! I love the way you have read the two versions. In the first, I reduced the saturation of all colours, except red, in Lightroom. This (second) version was mostly processed in Silver Efex and is, in fact, my preferred version, although, as you say, each has its own appeal.
