Ha! Great title and thanks for the nod. Rather soft in the corners though. But it certainly is a spectacular piece of London - and there are so many angles you can choose to take them from.

Haha! I had to google that, Ezio! I think you could be right! Sorriso Thanks very much!

Thanks and my pleasure, Tim! Hmmm.... I have to agree about the corners....
It's a part of London I shall certainly be revisiting! As you say, there are many angles to be taken but when I googled the Lloyds building, I was surprised at how few seem to have been taken from this angle!

Ann :))

I think it looks like you had a cloudy evening? It does look better on a clear one, but we're always chasing clear weather aren't we? I used f5 for my shot - makes quite a bit of difference.

Yes, there were a few wispy clouds around - I think it was the evening after you were there. Thanks - I don't have much experience of blue hour shots, so am still working out how to get the best from the light and my lenses.

If the corners fall where the lens is actually focused on, then the outer edges on this lens are OK at f4 (which is actually very good for a lens this wide - I use such for tripod night times when focused at infinity. But here the focus is on the large bit in the middle, sending the slightly out of focus corners soaring into a receding mush. So, my f5 gave both better corners and more depth of field, not by much, but enough to give an impression of overall sharpness. Using the depth of field preview always helps with this at the time of taking.
