In a church, still very much in use, parts of which date back to Saxon times. In una chiesa , ancora molto in uso , una parte dei quali risalgono al periodo sassone .

A little bright perhaps at the base but beautiful with lovely textures and stonework.

Thanks, Tim! I was surprised to find this church open when I tried the handle. There was no one inside and the place was in darkness - pretty dreary outside, too, so difficult shooting conditions!

That dreary outside helped keep detail in the highlights, so a good thing!

I guess that you never know what's inside until your try the handle...

Hello! :-) This photo is very well done. Seems the place abandoned but the window is imponent and well-preserved, where the light forces its way in. Where was this taken?
Have a good day, Liliana

Many thanks, Nick!

Lovely comment, Claudio - thanks very much!

So glad you like it, Fiore - many thanks!

Thank you so much for your lovely comment, Liliana! I have added a comment to the image now. It is not a ruin, so perhaps not so much 'ancient' as 'very old'. It was taken in a church at Canford Magna in Dorset.

Have a good day!

Ann :))
