Several hours driving today but, as I neared the end of my journey, the sun began to do rather lovely things, so I pulled over at the roadside to take this!

I'm very glad to have done two things this evening - 1) wear trousers instead of shorts (got cold quickly and was windy) 2) took the big heavy tripod as I was perched on the side of ditch and was visible to all who drove on the road three feet away and obviously didn't want to damage the wheat that was right up to the edge. The moon was just to the left and I did get shots with same lens later, still with remnants of the sunset afterglow. A highly productive couple of hours. |
