Salisbury Cathedral - a New Installation! sent on July 26, 2016 (19:56) by Timk2. 27 comments, 2203 views. [retina]

at 70mm, 1/160 f/2.8, ISO 2000, hand held. Salisbury, United Kingdom.

This beautiful pendant of many colours is hanging above the font, some distance in front of the rest of the image here, so emphasis has been made to focus on and highlight the vibrancy and beauty of the installation rather than the background. #Cathedrals

It's much more beautiful than 'rather', Ann!

Thank you also young Peppe!

'Rather' is synonymous with 'extremely', if it's said in the way I was saying it, Tim! :))

Pleased to see it now has a title......

Ha! Am just making my point in the same way you did with your gorgeous mono seascape yesterday, Ann - lots and lots of tourists this afternoon were trying to snap this, mostly with 'phones, but as far as I could see I was the only one to step back and incorporate it into the architecture that it sits so beautifully within - And I know that I am right! lol!!!

? I did see the photo very early, before you'd written your write up, which is probably when the title went up, too.

You were certainly right to incorporate the surrounding architecture - it makes a spectacular image! Bet a close up of a small section of the pendant would look good, too, but would obviously be a totally different kind of image. is it there permanently?

Sergio!

Fabrizio once again

Ann - I doubt it, almost all installations there come and go - all the hares had gone for a start and which makes return visits rewarding - you see them and the building in a slightly new light each time.

Gaz - thanks so much also!
