London has so many great buildings that even this beautiful Victorian brick built building is not listed in any tourist book or even on most maps. Only just off the usual tourist route this very fine HQ for the Prudential Assurance company would be proud to be many a community's Town Hall. I've not seen any photos of it taken straight on - the road is wide but to get exactly in the middle, I had to walk out into the road, as the services department had dug up the pavement, so I couldn't get back any further, to include more, but it still gives an impression of its size and grandeur. It was a bright July day, so the contrast was very high too.
