at 300mm, 1/800 f/8.0, ISO 160, hand held. Salisbury, United Kingdom.

Number one rule of photographing people! Unless, it's the Spire of Salisbury Cathedral, about 5km away... Anyway, I liked the composition, the mother and daughter out horse/pony riding and the late afternoon light. The sky was bright white, so adding a vignette and turning the image mono seemed to cure that. #BlackAndWhite

An excellent image, Tim! This has got to be amongst my favourites of your more recent images and I'm not even particularly fond of horses! The composition is spot on and the light falling on the riders and their mounts is simply lovely! One that I know I shall come back and look at again!

That's a lovely comment Ann and reassuring to know - I had some faith in it but until it's up and there's that first comment, you never know. Taken on Sunday. Tomorrow should see some better weather than of late and so am looking forward to getting back out again after this recent spell of poor weather.

That's good to know!i hadn't looked at the forecast because I'm still wading through post holiday chores and trying to shake off a cough I brought back with me. Hopefully I'll get out for an hour or two at some stage though!
Enjoy your day!

Beautiful scene, with good composition and a good black and white, but the real plus is the image the silhouette of the cathedral. Excellent image!
