I enjoyed watching this unusually coloured peacock very enthusiastically fanning and vibrating his feathers. I'm not at all sure that his efforts will have paid off - there wasn't a peahen in sight!

Many thanks, Claudio - so kind!
This peacock put on a display for such a long time - definitely wanting to show off, even if there wasn't a peahen present!

Obviously he thought AnnH was his peahen!

This is better, Ann, punchy colours that suit this majestic display.

Haha! May be!

Thanks, Tim - I boosted them a little more this time - which is, after all, closer to how they actually appeared!

Sometimes things need a little boost, Ann. The peacock would have been appreciative of that!

I like the colors, the detail and composition. It looks like a female peacock 8-). Hello, laurel

Thanks very much, Lauro! It is very beautiful, so you would think it ought to be female but I believe that only the males have long feathers that they fan and shake as this one was doing! The females' feathers are much shorter and more likely to be fanned as a sign of aggression.
