Compliments on your whole gallery! Excellent pics of beautiful species. The Coopers Hawk, portrayed in 2 images, really looks like a Merlin (female) to me! But that doesn't take away any of the pictures quality! Kind regards, good luck with your photography! Hans |

Thanks Hans for looking and the compliments. Based on your ID ing it as a Merlin, I did a little looking. It could be Merlin but I haven't ever seen one in our area. Based on the color and the plumage patterns, it looks more like a juvenile Coppers Hawk, We have them around the lake where this shot was taken. They love to feed on Song Birds of which are numbers of them around the lake. Once again thank you for looking and expressing interest in my work. Wally |
