Ait Benhaddu è un'antica città fortificata situata a 30Km da Ouarzazate, qui vi passavano le carovane in transito che dal deserto andavano verso Marrakech e viceversa, attualmente nella kasbah vivono poche famiglie mentre il nuovo paese si è sviluppato sull'altra sponda del fiume, visto l'ottimo stato di conservazione Ait Benhaddu è stato utilizzato spesso in molti film (Lawrence d'Arabia, la mummia, il gladiatore ecc.)
