La via del Borgo, nota anche con il nome di via degli Asini, è una suggestiva strada sopraelevata, quasi interamente coperta da archi di ampiezze differenti. Anticamente poggiata su una larga base di roccia, rivestiva un'importante funzione difensiva, attestata dalla presenza di una compatta fila di case a protezione del lato sud del borgo. Solo in un secondo tempo lo zoccolo fu scavato per ricavarne stalle, fondaci e negozi, trasformando così il portico in una sopraelevata.
